Monday. Quite possibly my least favourite day of the week.
I rolled out of bed and let the cold wooden floor shock my feet. After pouring my self a much needed coffee my phone starts vibrating.
It was my agent.
I hadn't heard from my agent in a while,I hadn't been acting in many major movies recently so things were fairly quiet. The fact that he was ringing by itself made me feel uneasy.
"Joey?" His familiar deep booming voice came a little too loudly out of my phone
"Yep,That's me" I croaked,my voice making me sound obviously tired.
"Hey Joey,so you haven't heard from me in a while as you know"
"Mhm" was all I could murmur as I drank my coffee,wasn't the most pleasant thing to be reminded of the fact nobody wants you in movies anymore.
"Well,I may have just got you a role."
My eyes widened as he said this. I gulped down my mouthful of caffeine and came out with a rapid fire of questions
"WHAT ROLE?"
"WHAT MOVIE?"
"WHO'S THE DIRECTOR"
"WHEN DO I STA-"
"Jesus Christ Joey,calm down. It's called the kissing booth,you'll be one of the main characters in it."
"Holy shit,That's huge." I whispered
"Listen,I'll call you back with dates later. Congrats jo"
"Thanks Gerard" I smiled to myself as I hung up the phone.
Maybe Mondays aren't so bad after all.
