Joe could feel a weight on top of him, wet kisses trailing down his neck and bare chest and stopping on his toned stomach. He sighed and rolled his head to the side, giving her the access she was hoping for, her hands placed either side of his head, indenting the pillow. He couldn't be mad at his girlfriend for waking him up, even though he only had a few hours sleep. His flight was delayed due to the bad weather, making his 10pm landing a 2am landing instead. But, if he was to wake up like this every day, waking up wouldn't be as treacherous in the mornings. Joe let out a breathy moan as his tired blue eyes opened to see his girlfriends smiling face over his with the tips of her hair hanging down and tickling his face. Joe moved his hands to rub Taylors bare thighs that lay either side of his torso, separated by the duvet coving his pyjama clad waist.
"Good morning, my angel." Taylor spoke, barely above a whisper as she leaned forward slightly, pressing a delicate kiss against her boyfriends head. As Taylor moved, the t-shirt of Joe's that she was wearing rode up slightly, much to his pleasure as he took the opportunity to squeeze her bum. Taylor squealed and shot up straight.
"Ahh, damnit girl, that was right in my ear" Joe laughed at her actions, moving his head towards his shoulder, feigning that his eardrum had just burst.
"Yeah, funny that, your hand just somehow landed on my ass." Taylor cockily replied while trying to keep a straight face, like she was pissed off with him. Once she saw Joes puppy dog eyes, she could pretend anymore.
Joe had already formulated a reply, like he had planed this whole conversation in his head months ago, "Thats where it belongs, isn't it?" A smirk formed on his lips, knowing she wasn't mad at all, she actually loves it, but doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing. But obviously, Joe does. He knows exactly what makes his girl tick. Thats what makes him different from everyone else that she's ever been with, they thought they knew, but he definitely knows. Even when she brushes it off like it's no big deal, he can see the sparkle in her eyes. Which is why he does it over and over again, just to see the sparkle, and to satisfy his girlfriend obviously.
The couple shared a quick kiss, both just looking at each other, indulging in the proximity of having their love so close after having been separated for what felt like 6 months but actually was just two weeks. They couldn't keep their hands off of each other, not in a sexual way, but being able to brush their hands through the others hair, or placing delicate kisses on their bodies. "So tell me wifey, what is on the schedule for today?" Joe questioned, having missed out on any plans that were made while he was filming.
"First of all, Joseph," She tried to sound stern, "Why didn't you wake me up when you got home? And secondly, if you keep calling me 'wifey' before we actually get married the excitement is going to ware off and you'll get bored of it." Both of their eyes shifted to the engagement ring that was perfectly placed on the forth finger of her left hand. Joe picked up her hand, playing with her ring, a habit he had started very soon after he had proposed to her, not that she minded at all.
"To answer your first question" Joe began, distracted by her ring, "It was nearly 3am when I got back because we had to drive at like 20 miles per hour because of the fucking snow." Taylor laughed at the way he cussed, his British accent making it sound way too posh. Taylor watched him speak, his facial features softened as he turned and looked at his girlfriend above him, "And you my darling, were fast asleep that when I came and kissed you hello, you didn't even move a muscle. Clearly, you needed the sleep." Joe finished speaking, a soft smile upon his lips, admiring his girl, acknowledging the fact that he was so lucky to have her in his life.
Taylor tried to apologise to him, she tried to stay up so she could greet him properly but she eventually succumbed to sleep as her tired eyes grew heavier and heavier. Mid-apology Joe pulled Taylors hand towards him, bringing her into him. He cut her off with a kiss, forcing her to stop talking, to stop apologising to him. Once they pulled apart from each other as Taylor sat up slightly, Joe started to shake his head, causing Taylor to pull a face, questioning what he disapproved of. "You don't ever need to say sorry to me because you fell asleep," Joe explained himself, letting go of her hand and tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear, his other hand still perched on her backside. His hand landed on he base of her neck and pulled her back to him, he clearly wasn't finished just yet. "And secondly," He imitated her in his best American white girl accent, "Don't you ever, ever think that I am going to get bored of you" He pulled her in for a kiss, "Or calling you my wife," Kissing her again "I'm never going to get bored of you." The couple pulled back slightly, Taylor looking in amazement at the man she got to call hers. She bit on her lower lip gently, a blush rising onto her cheeks, she could feel the love running through her veins, warming her from the inside out.
Taylor couldn't get enough of the man underneath her. She kissed him again, this time more forceful than the last. She wanted to convey to him just how much she loved him and missed him over the past weeks. Taylor pulled back slightly but Joe continued, his head lifting slightly from the pillow. Taylor took the opportunity to wrap her arm around his neck while her other hand roamed through his hair, stopping at the top of his head. When breathing became an issue, Joes head fell back to the pillow. "I'm so in love with you." Her breath hot on his face, while she ran her fingertips on his scalp.
"It's a good thing the feeling is mutual, wifey." He winked at her as a laugh escaped her lips. "You never answered my question, y'know." Joe raised his eyebrows at her, making her think of what question he had asked her.
"Mmm, but you never- oh, oh, our plans. Right, yeah, sorry, but I was pretty distracted. Which is your fault by the way." She responded, eyebrows raised. "I don't know your plan for the day but mine is to stay in bed all day with my very handsome fiancé," Taylor recalled her plans to Joe, her hand still aimlessly roaming throughout his hair, their proximity still so close that they barely spoke above a whisper. There was a glint in Taylors eyes, happiness oozed from every pore in her body. These are the moments that she wished for when she was just a kid who believed in fairy tales. She never believed that she would be able to live the fairy tale that she dreamed of, but it was all made possible by him. The small moments for her were the best, the intimacy, just the two of them, their own little bubble.
Taylors thoughts were interrupted by the man underneath her, "Mmm, that sounds strangely similar to my plans today." Joes hand moved to her back, slipping underneath the shirt she was wearing, his fingernails barely scraping over her skin, causing goosebumps to form over the entirety of her body.
"Oh yeah?" She teased, "Whats she like? She any good?" Her eyes flickered between his, the blueness of them sucking her in like a whirlpool inbetween the rocks. She still gets that feeling in her stomach that she got when the relationship started, the good kind of butterflies. Her heart clenched at the way he looked at her. Joe saw her as the sky and the moon and all of the stars, and even then, that wasn't enough. He was able to cease the wars in her chest and fill her bones with nectar.
"Well, actually, she's a gorgeous blonde with an amazing energy and smile. Funny. Intelligent. Kind-hearted. Strong-headed. Simple and complicated. Motherly. Childish. Tough. Sensitive. Beautiful." Joe could list the things he loved about Taylor for days upon days and still not run out of things to say about her. She had her flaws, like every other human being, but her quirks made him love her more. "Oh wait," He stopped himself, "That's you."
Taylor replied with the only words that came into her head, "you're the best kind of human." After they shared a few chaste kisses, her cheeks were blushing from Joes words. They couldn't keep their hands to themselves after being away from each other. They made promises that, whenever they could, they wouldn't spend more than a week away from each other, realising that two weeks was way too long and that they needed to prioritise their relationship. Taylor lay her head in the crook of his neck, her one arm down by the side of her and the other still resting on his head, occasionally rubbing her fingers through his blonde locks. Joe turned his head into Taylors hair, smelling her sweet shampoo. He missed this, just the two of them spending time together, uninterrupted. These are the best days, he would spend the rest of his life this way, just them. Or maybe in a few years, mini versions of them running around and making their lives even fuller.
Before Joes eyes closed due to his jet lag and lack of sleep, he sat up slightly, causing Taylor to groan as sleep had already started taking over her body. He moved the duvet so that they both underneath it, separating them from the cold chill in the air, bringing them closer together. He watched as the sun peeked through the gap in the curtain, the rays tangling around her face and body. Joe found new ways to be awed with her each minute, appreciating that the daylight seemed to want her just as much as he did. Before succumbing to sleep himself, he placed a few delicate kisses on her forehead, a smile of contentment crept onto her face, displaying her happiness and how in love she was.
"You're my girl, Taylor Swift, and you always will be."
