She was running up and down the aeroplane, trying to figure a million things out at once. There was just too much to do, no time to do it in and no one that could do it for her. The private jet was somewhere over the continent, she wasn't quite sure where, but knowing where she was at that moment in time wasn't a high priority for her right now, her mind had other things to think about. She was in an intense conversation with Tree and a few other people at the moment, trying to figure out a plan. One of the trucks carrying part of the stage for the tour had been delayed when travelling to the venue and they were unsure if it was going to make it on time for the concert. It was the cause of all the commotion on the jet, everyone putting out ideas and trying to calm Taylor down. The last thing she wanted to do was cancel, she would play an acoustic show rather than letting tens of thousands of people down.
Joe watched everything that was happening from his seat closer to the back of the plane. He didn't want to get involved with the business end of things, he was there to support her and it didn't want to interfere with her work. If she needed him or wanted his opinion then he would give it to her but he sat back and watched for the moment. Music replaced the peoples voices in his ears but he could see from the pacing and the flailing arms that it was a big issue that needed to be sorted as soon as possible.
Every so often, Taylor would glance over at him, just checking that he was okay even though she knew he was big enough to look after himself, she just wanted to make sure. He would smile at her and raise his eyebrows quickly, silently asking if everything was alright, which in turn she responded with a slight shoulder shrug and pouting of her lips, blowing a kiss in his direction. Joe knew that she was stressed, but who wouldn't be in that situation. She looked exhausted and he wanted her to come and sit down and relax and sleep a little before having to go and play a show but, he also knew Taylor, very well. She wouldn't sit down until there was a solution or another plan in place, she couldn't, and refused to, disappoint her fans.
There was a lull in the conversation at the front of the plane which Taylor used as an opportunity to grab herself a drink. Grabbing a diet coke and cracking it open, she made her way over to Joe. When he saw her walking in his direction, he took his headphones out of his ears, leaving them laying haphazardly on his lap. Taylor stood next to him, she ran her fingers through his hair and lent down to kiss him quickly. They didn't like to be overly affectionate in front of other people so they kept the displays of affection down to a minimum. Joes arm that was closest to Taylor moved so that it was resting on the side of her thigh. He rubbed it in a supportive manner, wishing that there was more that he could do for her, to take the stress away.
"Is there anything I can do, love?" He asked her for the tenth time, wanting to make sure that she knew that he was wanting to help in any way. She shook her head no, taking a sip of her drink and holding it out for him, asking if he wanted any. He took the can and had a small sip, returning it to Taylor who looked like she was about fall asleep standing up.
Taylor smiled at him, thankful for the support that he was giving her. She liked that he didn't try to assert himself into her work life, but he made sure she knew he was there for her and would help if she needed it. Her hand moved to rest under his chin, keeping his eyes looking at her. "Give me, um, maybe 10 minutes and then I'll be all yours, we've nearly figured it out, promise." She told him before leaning down and kissing him again, she pulled back and added a quick whispered "I love you."
She stayed bent over, just enjoying the quick few minutes of time they had together. Joe leaned forward slightly and kissed her again, "I love you too, baby" he replied to her. She turned to walk away, the quicker they sorted out this truck issue the quicker she would be able to snuggle up with Joe and go to sleep. Joe quickly glanced at the rest of the team in front of them, checking that they were all preoccupied doing other stuff, when he leant forward and smacked her butt slightly just before she got out of reach. A slight squeal left the lips of the singer which was accompanied by the side eye from her which caused Joe to throw his head back laughing, he knew she loved it really. He told himself that he would spend his whole life trying to put that smile on her face and make her laugh, when she was mad, sad, stressed or happy, every single day for the rest of his life.
