Even though her relationship between her and her best friend was deteriorating, her and Tom had become so much more close. Evelyn still wasn't talking to Illianna, she would act as if Illi didn't exist. She stayed in her room for a majority of the time and would only leave when Illianna left. Harrison kept her company whenever he wasn't spending time with Illi and Tom.
It broke Illiannas heart that her best friend knew she had hurt her but still wouldn't admit that she was wrong and apologize. It hurt her that Eve didn't care enough to even try to fix things. But not talking to or spending any time with Eve has made her bond with Tom stronger than it already was.
