For this chapter, we'll pay a visit to Cotton

Cotton had enough.

She was done with this place. She was though of the Organization. Everyone here was getting on her nerves and no one liked her, probably because she was Lord Xetrix's favorite and his assistant.

But she have crossed the line. She was getting fed up with the Organization. Now, she had to do something.

She couldn't believe how much she changed. She always wanted to avenge Judy. And she still could by leaving the Organization and working by herself to kill Violet.

But there will be a cost of she left the Organization.

And she already knew that cost: her life. If she confirmed that she was leaving the Organization, she was automatically sentenced to death.

And there was nothing that she could do.

She had no way to defend herself. She had no lawyer. So she knew the answer: death.

It was either going her job or the Organization.

Everyone was loyal to the Organization, even though Xetrix hadn't even told what was going to do with Violet's dead body. Plus, no one didn't care if one never died. In the Organization, you were alone.

Cotton wanted answers. And she wanted then now.

Cotton walked through the walkways to the top of the "Ascension Of Darkness", where Xetrix would be normally there, gazing upon the black sky. No one, including her, in the Organization couldn't understand why Xetrix would stare at a black sky. What was the point of staring at nothing? What was fun about staring into a bleak, dull, Sky? Why?

She climbed the stairway and there, stood Lord Xetrix, with his unusual black coat, with white streaks, and his hood up. No one, not even his assistant, still didn't see their Lord's face. However, they knew he had orange red eyes. She climbed up the stairs and stood right next to him. He didn't look like he didn't care.

"My Lord, might if I have the freedom to ask a simple question that I cannot understand, myself ?"

It was only for a fraction of a second but he looked upon Cotton and allowed her the permission to speak.

"M'lord, Why, do I ask, look upon this oblivion sky?"

Lord Xetrix gave a grunt.

"I can see things that only I can see. I can only see what lies in the future. I have the Gazing Eye."

"The Gazing Eye?"

"Yes. The Gazing Eye. An Eye cannot see visual items and what a ordinary eye can see. The Gazing Eye can see the future and what lies beyond ahead! It is the Eye of my father. Before his time came, he bestowed me the power. He said "When your time comes to join us all, passed down the power toward your apprentice, so my will and yours will live on."

Then, Lord Xetrix looked upon her. Under his hood, his right eye was suddenly bluish white.

"The Gazing Eye

"The Gazing Eye... I've decided to pass down the power... To you. I know this power is amazing and has many more multiple features that you will discover and I believe that you will have the ability to master them all. However this is your choice to decide if you want this power or not."

Cotton looked at his master. Did she want this power? And out of all of the unique powerful members, why was she chosen?

"What's the price to be paid if I do desire to obtained this power?", she asked. " I know whenever you give power or an ability to us, there's a price to be paid in return of the strength!"

Lord Xetrix grinned. " It's not surprising to know that you know what price to be asked, in order to procure power from me. That's why is chose you to be my assistant. You are a fast learner and excelled perfectly than the rest of your teammates. You are the one to have this power. You're worthy enough to own this power as your own."

Then, the mood changed. It went from an appraisement moment to a dark, serious moment. "The Price to pay for this power is the sacrifice of an eye. In order to own The Gazing Eye, you must give up your regular left eye or your right eye blackhole. The choice is yours to make."

Cotton began to question if she wanted this power or not. Did she really need it? Did she wanted it?

Power. That she was something she truly need. Maybe she could use it to kill Violet and take upon the Organization. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to give up an eye, in return of power.

"Okay... I accept this gift of power. I choose my regular eye for sacrifice and return of power."

" Then the decision has been made."

Suddenly, Xetrix grabbed Cotton and with one pull, he ripped out Cotton's left eye and in return, transformed the regular eye into The Gazing Eye and implanted it back into the belonging socket. Cotton felt the eye connecting back to her brain, only this time, with a chill down her spine.

"The Gazing Eye is now linking up with your brain, reprogramming it to making more efficient and adjusting with it. The power of The Gazing Eye will take a day to work, but it will be worthwhile. Only you has this power in your possession. And you, alone, must learn it's secrets and abilities to master and temp. I wish you luck, young lady."

Then, Cotton felt a little dizzy and nauseous. Then, the world around fell and she passed out.

The Gazing Eye can see what lies beyond...
