Gramps was now conscious . We've been in this hospital for two weeks waiting for a full recovery. Within the test runs for my angel, something sparked suspicion about him having diabetes causing an interference with parts of the nerve system that regulate blood pressure and heart rate.

It was true, other symptoms confirmed the suspicion and he was now being treated professionally and taking Sitagliptin pills.

In a way, this whole falling down the stairs situation, helped save my grandpa's life. He would've never willingly went to get tested claiming that hospitals and doctors are all thieves and couldn't care less about people's well being.

Along the way, Cam visited every once in a while. She's now 3 months pregnant, as much as I hate to admit it, this kid is just a reminder of my heartbreak. I fully know that I'm being unfair for it wasn't the baby's fault for god's sake, but I still don't know how to react to this whole situation.

Maybe it's just jealousy taking over me. Jealousy is self explanatory so go ahead and think whatever the hell you want.

-''There you go'' the receptionist said handing me the medical bills.

I take it and go back to room 505.

Gramps was laying on his white hospital bed in a blue gown and some sweatpants. As soon as he sees me a small smile starts to creep in on to his pure face. I noticed a small beard forming over the wrinkled skin and white strokes gently covering spots of his brown hair.

He pats the bed next to him as a sign for me to sit and as I do, he pulls me into a big hug engulfing me completely in the safety of his embrace.

We stay like this for a while but eventually break the hug and lay back watching a random French movie screening on the little hanged television.

Gramps stroked my long waves untangling some random knots. I sigh in comfort not wanting this moment to ever end.

Ever.

Reality eventually hit when a small knock on the door awakens me from my clouded mind.

-''It's open'' I yelled softly.

The bed was real comfy no way was I getting out anytime soon.

As soon as the white door opens, colorful helium balloons fill the room hiding the person behind. Both grandpa and I sit up slowly to greet this exceptionally kind guest.

To my surprise it was Theo's parents Laura and Kevin. After exchanging hugs and kisses and placing the gifts they brought where each belonged, Laura pulled me to the side.

-''Theo is waiting for you downstairs baby. You can't stay here all the time for god's sake! You have to start living for yourself Aella. Before it's too late.'' She says while rubbing my shoulders and looking at me with such sweet eyes reminding me of mom.

-''I can't leave grandpa here alone'' I shake my head ''Besides, I'm not even wearing acceptable clothes I look like a bag of potato''

-''Hey! potatoes are adorable and everyone loves them. The disrespect'' She shoots back defensively shaking her head.

-''Lemon'' Gramps says

-''Listen to Laura honey I'll be just fine.'' He smiled brightly reassuring me.
