Working on a new story that goes side by side with Mintfeather's but focuses more on a darker topic/theme and a different character.
The main character is Lightpaw, Nightstar's daughter.
Summary:
Nightstar is a tyrant that rules over Gorseclan. He has implemented many violent and twisted laws that all clan members must obey and are severely punished if they disobey him. Punishments range from a simple scratch to death.
Everyone hates Nightstar secretly and when he has kits, they start to hate them too.
Nightstar makes kits of four moons into apprentices and disregards the danger that may occur to them.
Nightstar made his kits apprentices at three moons old.
He gave Lightpaw to a loyal follower of his, Nettlefang, per request because the tom wants to groom Lightpaw. His intentions are dark and twisted.
Lightpaw is trained way too much to be healthy, and Nettlefang neglects to teach her how to hunt, focusing all of her attention to honing her fighting skills.
Lightpaw is forced to be brutal to others to protect herself, as no other clan member can help another since Nightstar sees needing help as a weakness.
Lightpaw doesn't want to be anything like her father but is being trained to be like him, and the clan sees her as an exact replica of him, thus making her life harder and more isolated.
It follows Lightpaw's hardships and the beacon of hope that enters her life upon an opportunity to right a wrong her father committed.
