Taehyung's P.O.V."Hey, Jimin. Have you seen Jungkook?" I asked Jimin who was sitting next to me. He shrugged and gave me a worried look.
"I thought he was with you. He was at lunch, right?" Jimin asked. I nodded and bit my thumbnail. "Hey, relax. He might be just late or something..." Jimin tried to reassure me once he saw the worried look on my face. "...or he could be skipping classes..." I heard him mumble.
"Well... this isn't the first time he's been skipping classes. Last year, I did have a few classes with him, maybe one or two, but some days he'd never showed up. The next day, I would see Hobi, Namjoon, or Jin -especially Jin- ask him what happened and he would tell them but only in private. I thought he was just skipping classes because he was lazy or something but... the days after he was absent he would just look so sad and... lost. I don't know, possibly angry. Sometimes he wouldn't show up for a week." Jimin said.
My mind started getting more confused. Thoughts swirled around in my head, but I managed to quiet them down. I looked back at Jimin.
"How often would he skip?" I asked. Jimin shrugged.
"Every... few weeks. The weird part though is that sometimes when I see him arrive to class... he would looked like he got beat up or something. Every time the teacher would ask him how he ended up with those bruises, he would write down words saying that he fell down the stairs or ran into a pole. I don't think this year's going to be any different..." he answered. I paused at the new information. I was starting to get a little bit confused on Jim's relation to Jungkook.
"Wait... how do you know about Jungkook in the years before... but not know who he was until now?" I asked.
"Oh. Well, like you said I did know who Jungkook was but I never really invested my time in figuring out his name. I just learned it a few weeks ago thanks to Hobi." he said simply.
I nodded slowly. That question was cleared... now for the big question. What's going on with Jungkook? Did I make him uncomfortable to the point he skipped school? But that wouldn't make sense as to why he would be skipping classes for the past few years. Is he safe right now? God please tell me he's not dead.
The class continued and no Jungkook showed up. Every now or then, I would check my phone, hoping that Jungkook left a message or something. I spent the rest of the class texting Jungkook, but only to have him not reply or even read any of the messages.
I was getting super worried. But I still had a small little bit of hope inside of me. Jungkook and I had promised each other that'll we'll head to the cafe and hang out there for a while. Maybe Jungkook remembered and will appear... maybe.
The bell rang and I quickly packed my stuff. I said my farewells to Jimin, until I remembered that I needed a ride to the cafe since I didn't know where it was from here to it.
I asked Jimin if he could drive us to the cafe, and Jimin said he and Yoongi were going to hang out there as well. And so Jimin agreed that I could come along with the ride.
Me and Jimin walked towards the parking lot, laughing and talking like the good old days. We eventually saw Yoongi and hopped in the car. Jimin explained the situation to Yoongi, and Yoongi was happy enough to lend me a hand.
Once we got to the cafe, we walked in and I searched around the place, making sure that I wouldn't miss a single brunette. However, none of the brunettes were Jungkook.
A frown was present on my face. I said my goodbyes and farewells to Jimin and Yoongi, wishing them to have a fun time on their mini date. I walked up towards the counter and saw Jin hyung working at the cashier.
