Connor fluttered his eyes open. He curled up, feeling waves of pain. He was in a stretcher being wheeled down the hallway. He felt Hank's warm, rough hands holding his, and he felt a little better. The waves of pain hit even harder, like a kid hitting a piñata, except the kid didn't have a blindfold and he was the piñata. He shook violently, screaming in pain. Hank looked terrified, and Connor blacked out.
Hank stood by the bed, as Connor came to. He started shaking again. Screaming like he was being stabbed. Hank grabbed his hand's letting Connor know he was still there. Three days early. The baby was coming three days early. Connor grabbed Hank's collar, tears streaming down his face. Hank kissed his forehead. wrapping his arms around his shoulders. The doctors coached Connor, and an hour later, Connor laid sleeping, Hank still holding his hand. There were so many things running through his mind. The rude people, his partner's pain, their baby. The doctor walked him, and Hank looked up, to see something cradled in the doctor's arms. He sniffed, tears watering his eyes.
He shook Connor lightly, and his eyes opened slowly. He looked up to see the doctor, and his eyes widened. Hank helped him sit up, being careful not to hurt him. The doctor spoke softly, as the newborn was sleeping soundly. "It's a girl." He said, smiling ear to ear. "Her n-name is C-Cameron." Connor said, stroking her cheek with one finger. She smiled when he spoke. Hank felt his heart melt at the sight. The doctor turned to Hank. "She's the first of her kind." she said, still smiling. "Does she eat? Or grow? Does she have an led?" Hank's mind was flooded. "We have no way of knowing, not even Kamski prepared for this." she smiled as she slipped back into the hallway. Hank slid onto the bed, next to Connor.
He wrapped his arm around him, beaming. She was beautiful. She had Connor's nose, and chocolate brown eyes. She had Hank's smile, and thick hair. That's what caught his attention. Her hair. Although it was long, she had a thick, full head of hair. She looked up at Hank, with the same puppy dog eyes Connor gave him. He laughed, and Cameron patted his face with her tiny hands, and she grabbed his beard. She pulled, causing Hank to wince, and her to laugh. Just like that, her eyes flicked to pink, and so did Connor's led. "Holy sh-" Connor covered Hank's mouth, frowning.
"Watch the potty mouth, Lieutenant." he said before removing his hand. Hank smiled, and whispered into Connor's ear, "Watch what this potty mouth does to you later tonight.", causing Connor to blush a deep blue. Hank smirked and picked up Cameron. He held her, tickling her with one finger. She giggled and her eyes turned a rosy pink again. "Connor, her eyes are her led." He said, still in awe of his baby girl. Hank didn't realize, but he began crying. Connor leaned over kissing him on the cheek, and wiping his tears with his thumb. "Cole is a big brother now." Connor said grabbing Hank's free hand. Hank laughed. "Yeah, I guess he is.".-later that night-
Hank dialed up the number, and listen to it ring. Finally, it picked up. "Hello?" they answered. "Hey Gavin, look. You know how you said you owed me one for always harassing my fiancé?" Hank said tiredly. "Y-Yeah?" he stuttered out. "Meet me at my house in 15 minutes, and bring some paint.". Hank hung up.-end-
