The Great Gatsby

I watched her as she enter my house. The only person in a room filled of people. The one I wanted the most.

*Daisy..*

I have loved Daisy since our first encounter in 2012 where in she and her friends were doing volunteer services' work by teaching kids for free. Even after our brief meetings and casual encounters at that time, I fell deeply in love with her.

It's now 2017, my feelings for her hasn't change.

I know she is married now. She and her husband live across my house. How I long to see her. I long to talk to her and touch her. Thankfully a good friend of mine Nick, is Daisy's cousin. I asked him countless time to arrange a dinner with Daisy. He would decline me everytime. Until he got fed up and relunctantly agreed.  Since then Daisy and I have been meeting in secret. Even though I know she loves me, she can't leave her husband.

I saw her sitting alone by the balcony.

I walked to her and knelt down in front of her.

She quickly looked around.

I grabbed her hand.

"Let's runaway. Get as far as we can from here Daisy. I have more than enough for us and we can live anywhere you want. Just please tell me you will runaway with me."

"I can'y Seo Joon. You know I can't." She sadly turned away. I walked to her and hugged her from behind. She raised her hand and touched my face.

"I love you. God knows how much I love you.. But he can kill us you know that. I don't want to see you hurt."

"Why do you always choose him over me? Don't I mean anything to you?"

"Of course you do! I love you! But leaving someone like him is going to be hard. Frightening too..."

She started to walk away again. But I won't let her.
I grabbed her arm and pulled her to me. I  wrapped my arms around her. I placed my cheek on top of her head.

"I'll give up everything for you. This mansion. All my properties. Money.. everything. Just runaway with me.."

I heard her sniff softly when she gently pushed me away.

She stepped back and shook her head.

"I'm sorry..."

"Daisy?" We turned to see her husband coming.

"Honey.."

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I was only talking to Mr Park. I told him how impressive his house is."

I remained silent.

Her husband walked to me and reach out his hand.

I hesitated but took it anyway.

"Hi. We always wonder who is the man behind the weekly party in this house. I didn't even think it will be someone young like you. I heard many things about you." He said.

"Good things I hope." I replied.

"Of course. Why the party every weekend? It seems like you are always celebrating."

"I was trying to draw someone in.." I replied softly. I can't help it but my eyes looked at her. I can see her husband tensed up.

"I'm like a fire drawing a beautiful moth to me.."

Her husband swallowed hard and I can see his hold on her arm tightens. My jaw tensed up.

"We'll goodluck with that. We should be going Yeobo."

She only nod and looked at me.

"Goodbye Mr Park."

"Thank you for coming Miss Daisy. Hope to see you again. Soon."

She didn't answer. She took her husband hand and left.

I watched the love of my life walk away from me.

Again.

Ps. I left out a major character Nick Carraway who is the first person narrator of the novel. I'm sorry but I was trying to focus on the lovers.
