You could hear clearly the sea from below being pushed strongly by the winds resulting in loud, violent waves clashing together. The sounds of heavy breathing echoing the area as well as the overwhelming sirens that alarmed the neighbouring people.Sobs faintly escaped the young woman's mouth as she looked down at the dark, murky green river below her.
She remembered the look as she asked the nerve-wrecking question. His eyes were widened from the shock and he still looked that murky green river.
The wind still breezed through his hair and his hands were still holding unto the cold metal railway bars.
"Please don't leave me Taehyung." She had cried, getting on her knees. She begged with all her might, tugging on the fabric of his trousers - hugging his legs to stop any muscle or strength of his to go over the only barrier that could seperate them forever.
"It will be fine."
"No it won't! I have nobody!"
"Well I'll be that somebody then! I'll never leave your side from our start and our end!"
"Taehyung, I won't let you leave me. Not now, not ever. So please, let me love you and love you forever." She begged, desperation pouring out of her eyes, "I want to be with you."
But that had been over. It was now a new chapter. She couldn't fix everything. She had tried so hard. Tears had streamed down her face and her mind was dizzy. Dizzy and done.
She was done with him.
With love.
With Trust. But she couldn't be done with him; not ever.
She promised to never let him or her leave each other. And promise was always going to be sealed and always done.
He was next to her with his coarse fingers interlocking hers as they looked at the sea that nearly fed on another prey.
He had escaped the pain.
He escaped to home, in her embrace.
He was free.
It was a chaotic mess they had made. Before Jiyeon could even reach the bridge, she had called Jungkook to call the police about Taehyung and his suicide attempt as Jungkook knew Taehyung was extremely vulnerable. Jungkook being his best friend and soulmate had immediately understood and called for the emergency phoneline the second the call ended.
So, they came. They arrived and the paramedics and police officers politely asked questions to the startled couple that has just escaped death.
'We did it,' She thought to herself as she stared at the young man, looking at his alluring eyes that were puffy and red and then his tear-stained cheeks then to his pale lips.
As he pondered to answer what the police officer questioned, she wiped his cheeks and calmly closed her eyes. Then, as if she was having a slow-mo, she gently kissed his cheek and rested her head on his slightly buffed chest.
Her breaths slowly became short before she quietly cried, "I am so happy," and before he could register what she was saying, she ended up sobbing even on his chest.
