Tempting Danger!

Chapter 2

After getting dressed I ran down to the training field. Everyone had gathered around the fighting ring. My eyes searched around for Addy until I found her. I quickly jogged up to her.

"Hey Addy" I said bumping into her softly but she didn't reply as her attention was elsewhere. I followed her gaze and saw Zac smiling and laughing with some of the unmated she wolves.

"He's hot isn't he" I said checking him out before looking back at Addison "do you like him"

Addy finally glanced at me and waved her hand dismissively. Her eyes glistened as she chuckled.
"Don't be silly, I don't even know the guy"

A smile appeared on my face.
"So you wouldn't mind if I..."

"No go ahead" she said enthusiasticly.

Too enthusiastic if you ask me.

I nodded my head and glanced at Zac. I know I'm still busy with Scott but who cares. What he doesn't know can't hurt him. Besides he totally ignored me earlier. As if feeling my eyes on him, Zac looked up. He smirked at me before sending me a panty dropping wink.

I smiled back before licking my lips suggestively. Zac's eyes darkened for a moment before they flashed back to light blue.Things would be very fun between us. I could tell.
A low growl sounded but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who heard it. I looked around to see where it came from but came up with nothing.

Odd.

My eyes finally drifted to the ring as Alpha Christian and Alpha Ivan walked in. They were both shirtless and I knew all the girls were ogling them. It reminded me of the first time we saw them and consequently how Addison reacted I glanced down at her.
"Hey Addy when the Alpha arrived you seemed shocked .What was up with that" I asked.

Addy looked down and shrugged her shoulders.
"Nothing, Dante stepped on my foot"
I nodded but felt like she was hiding something from me considering the fact that Dante was standing next to me and not her but she would tell me when she was ready.

Peter the head guard caught our attention as he began the fight.
"No shifting" he said putting his hand in the middle "first one to submit loses. Let's keep it clean guys"

The two alphas nodded their heads before shaking on it.
"Ready, set, Go! " Peter screamed jumping back as the alphas lunged at each other.

My heart raced as I watched them fight. They were both skilled fighters. Alpha Ivan threw a hard punch that sent Alpha Christian stumbling back. He retaliated with a roundhouse kick knocking Alpha Ivan to the ground.
That was very hot I have to admit. He radiated danger and ferocity and he was winning I could telling.

As the pack members cheered them on I watched quietly until I felt a hand wrap around my waist. I stopped breathing as the person pressed themself behind me.
"Why don't we get out of here" he whispered in my ear.

Addy stiffened at the sound of his voice but didn't glance back. I placed my hand over his and prepared to answer him when I heard the crowd gasp. I turned at the speed of light to see Alpha Christian on the ground but his eyes fixed on us. His nose was bleeding and it looked to be broken yet still that didn't seem to matter to him.

Ouch.

I gulped nervously as I looked him in the eyes. Did I do something. His eyes were showing hints of yellow a colour I had never seen before but one this was for certain. He was angry.

I felt nothing but curiosity as I turned to run.
Some people glanced our way but I just ignored them as I pulled Zac along with me. I dragged him all the way to the middle of the forest far away from everyone.

I finally stopped and clutched my head in confusion. What was Alpha Christian so angry about. He rarely showed anger unless he saw-

No it couldn't be.

Zac cleared his throat catching my attention.
"Hey" he said. I never expected his voice to be so thick in a british accent. It sounded good.

"Hey" I replied smiling back.

"I never got your name beautiful" he said pulling me forward by my hands.

"Nonya" I said.

"Nonya what" he asked hopping I would give him my last name.

"Nonya business" I replied with a smirk.

His eyes twinkled as he understood what I was saying.
"What" he chuckled "don't you give out your name on the first date"

"Oh is this a date" I gushed sarcastically "well you could have done better Mr Carter"

Zac chuckled before pulling me close.
So close that our chests were pressed up together.
"Will this work" he asked leaning down until our lips were almost touching.

My heart raced as I knew that we were about to kiss. A kiss that could tell me if we were mates or not.
He glanced in my eyes asking for permission when-.

Snap!

My head instinctively turned to the left as I heard the sound, causing Zac's lips to land on my cheek.

Awkward.

"Did you hear that" I asked pulling away from him and looking around.

"Hear what" he asked mimicking my actions.

I internally rolled my eyes.
It must have been too low for a normal wolf to hear.

Snap!

"There it is again" I huffed glaring at nothing in particular.

Zac gave me a concerned look or more like a 'what's wrong with this chick' look.
"Um.. Are you okay" he asked.

I nodded my head.
"Wait here" I said as I quickly climbed up a tree.

I flew from tree to tree for a few metres until I saw a figure hunched behind a bush. I rolled my eyes.

Unbelievable!

I jumped down landing swiftly behind him. I tapped on his shoulder impatiently. He turned exposing his true identity.
Dante jumped screaming like a little girl.
"Don't do that you almost gave me a heart attack" he said putting a hand over his heart.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.
"What are doing here Dante" I asked angrily.

Dante chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Going for a walk" he said.

"Oh don't you dare lie to me, dad sent you after me didn't he" I huffed "and honestly that was the worst lie ever... You've never walked a day in your life and all of a sudden you do"

Dante sighed raising his hands up in surrender. "They said I must keep an eye on you"

"Keep an eye on me... I thought I told Uncle Isaac that I'd behave" I said confused.

Lies.

"I can't believe he doesn't trust me" I added.

He shouldn't.

"It wasn't him" Dante said.

"What do you mean it wasn't him" I asked angrily "Who else could it be"

"It was the Alpha"

The anger vanished and was replaced with pure shock.
Why would Alpha Christian ask Dante to spy on me?
