Tempting Danger!

Chapter 15

The first thing I saw was a bright light. My whole body was in absolute pain and it felt like I was hit by an asteroid.
I remembered everything. I couldn't believe Avour had known I wasn't human this entire time and only when I find out why I was so madly attracted to him does he tell me.

I remembered seeing him before I passed out. How did he get there so quickly without getting hurt. No doubt he wasn't human. I am too smart to let that slide.
"You're awake"

Addy was sitting beside me with a blotchy face and red eyes. I tried to speak and thankfully my throat wasn't painful.
"Yes" I said.

I tried to move my arms and legs but winced in pain. For sure they were broken. Severely if they hadn't healed. It must be one of those injuries that take about three days. Hopefully with my DNA it will heal faster.

Addison kissed my cheek softly before pushing back a strand of my hair.
"I was so worried" she admitted.

"I'm okay Adds" I said displaying a small smile on my face before looking outside the room "Where are the rest"

"They went out to get something to eat" she said.

"You should too young lady I'll keep miss Jasmine company"
We both turned to the door way where Alpha Ivan stood. He was dressed casually and had a fatherly smile on his face.

Something told me not to agree to be alone in the same room with him but I found myself keeping quiet. Addy's stomach grumbled and she looked away shyly.
"Okay I'll be back in a few" she said before scurrying away.I giggled at her. Her, food and I are a family.

Alpha Ivan closed the door and sat beside me in Addy's place.

I watched him skeptically.

"How are you feeling" he asked.

"Fucked up" I chuckled wincing in pain. I had never been this injured in my life. It opened my eyes. I wasn't as invincible as I thought.
My back was getting numb so I tried to move myself and failed miserably. I couldn't even move my hands no matter how much I tried.

Alpha Ivan was already helping me before I could ask. He placed his arms around me and helped me to sit up properly.
"Thank you" I said.

He looked into my eyes and nodded but he didn't move back. Instead he started leaning down. My eyes widened and I suddenly felt unsafe. His eyes changed color and darkened. He didn't look like himself.I knew he was a no good.
"What are you doing" I asked. There was definitely panic in my voice.

"You don't have to worry just relax" he said. He placed his lips on my head and kissed me softly. I flinched. I did not like the way he was acting. He and I weren't even on that level of comfortability.

He pressed his lips to my ear and whispered lowly.
"I know what you are" he said "you're a very beautiful hybrid"

How did he know. No one out of my family knew except Christian. Did he tell him?
A low growl rumbled from my chest.
"you know nothing"

Ivan chuckled. He moved his hand towards the drip supplying my body with blood. My heart rate escalated. He was trying to kill me.

But why.

"I'm not trying to kill you princess" he said as if he had read my mind "but it might just happen in the process"
Before I could figure out what he meant he squeezed the pipe so hard the blood stopped flowing. He pulled the blanket up to my nose and mouth and smothered me. It was my worst nightmare come true. I couldn't defend myself against the danger. He was suffocating me.

Tears filled my eyes and I tried not to exert myself and use too much oxygen. But I couldn't hold it for long. Soon I ran out of oxygen. My body immediately started convulsing on the bed. Ivan smiled darkly and half shifted.
"Don't worry" he said "you won't remember a thing"
