Shane x Reader - Part One

    I was sitting at a table at a cafe, and had ordered my favorite tea, and my favorite treat to go along with it. I was texting my best friend, (B/F/N), some things that happened earlier today, but nothing big at all.

    This cafe was special because of how many Buzzfeed crew members ordered coffee and this was because their office is very so close by it, and in here, they were almost always working on some articles for their site. And boy was it pretty full here. I have a two person table to myself. I only met some of these Buzzfeed members, and  some of those people became friends with me, and others we simply didn't keep in touch with.

    I then hear a ring of a bell, signaling someone just came in, but I payed no attention to it. I just kept on looking in explore page on my Instagram. I then take a selfie with my tea, half way drank, with lipstick stains on my straw. 

    Some minutes have passed, and then I suddenly hear someone ordering my favorite tea, and I just had to see who it was. I willingly turned my head to see a man, very tall and thin, with black medium rimmed glasses, a plaid collar shirt, with a jean jacket with wool on the collar, skinny jeans, and boots. His voice was slightly deep with a serious and cheerful tone to it while he was ordering. I quickly look over to my phone before he sees me staring at him. When he was done ordering, he looked to see if there was a seat, but there was no empty table, and he had to stand up.

  10 minutes later, he was still waiting. I could see him tap the ground in impatience. He looked as if his feet were starting to hurt for standing up for that long. I couldn't take it anymore, and friendliness toke over me. I called him over.

   "Hello sir, would you like to sit down? It looks like your tired from standing up." I say.

    "Oh thank you so much my feet were killing me." He replied.

   He then went to shake my hand and we both exchanged names.

   " My name's Shane."

"Hi Shane, it's nice to meet you, my name is (Y/N)."

   "Nice meeting you (Y/N)."

   I smiled to what he said. He looked at me, and asked me questions about myself. I answered them all and I also asked him questions as well. We had a fun talk and meet each other on basic ground fields. But, he was very cute and adorable looking and he was also very handsome, and kind. I then hear his name called over so he can claim his order. We exchanged each others social media, and numbers. He said he was off to work. I waved goodbye to him as he lefted the cafe. 

   I immediately called my bestfriend,  saying I had just found a cutie.

     *Five days later, 6:30 am*

   I wake up to the sound of my alarm, unwillingly trying to get, and unsatisfied with my time of extended rest. I then conviced myself to get out of bed. I head to the sink where I  brush my teeth. I look over to my closet to see all if my outfits, and to find the cutest one. I see my favorite coat paired along with light blue denim capris, yellow checkered vans, and my clear, round-rimmed prescription glasses. I don't make my breakfast because I wanted to go the cafe today. I walk out with my beige colored handbag. I head into my black car, and drive to the cafe.

   * The Cafe, 7:00 pm*

    I walk in to see a man, the same handsome man as five days ago, Shane. He was sitting down at a table for two. He was wearing a similar style of attire to when I first saw him. I walked over to the counter and ordered a caramel macchiato, large, with two shots of espresso, and and breakfast bagel.

  " Your total will be $8.99. Please insert your card."

    Just when I was about to swipe my card, Shane slides over and inserts his card. I didn't want him to pay for my drink but he insisted he did. He and I walked over to the only empty table he sat in. Then I thanked him for the drink.

  "Thank you Shane, that was very kind of you for, you know, paying for my drink."

"I'm always happy to pay for people. It makes me feel a lot better about myself, and to be very honest, I think you are a sweet lady." Shane states. I blush to his remark about me. I'm 29 and he said he was 32 just to make clear.

     He then starts talking about where he worked at. He usually edits and writes articles for Buzzfeed and also appears in a special series for the channel, Buzzfeed Unsolved. He tells me about his partner, Ryan, and how they go on ghostly adventures at haunted hotels, and through cases of true unsolved crimes.

    I look over at my watch. Shoot, it's 7:30.

    I quickly inform him that I had to leave, or I would be late at my job as director of a children's private school choir, and boy do they pay me a ton. He then looks at me and takes my hand and gently kisses it.

  "It was a pleasure talking to you,
(Y/L/N)." I blush.
      I gently remove my hand from his, and and I give him a breif thank you and rush to my car, careful not to spill some coffee. I quickly get in and start my engine. I always get to work at 8:00 am, and my drive to work was only about 20 minutes. Gladly it was only 7:34 am, so I did have enough time. My job started at 8:15, the time when classes were starting, but I had to be there at 8:00. Luckily, I was right on time, and during all of this hell of a car ride, the only thing on my mind was Shane. Shane. Shane. Shane...Shane. I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss on my hand. I was freaking out like what does this even mean, we barely meet each other. Maybe he's gay and flirts with girls to hide that fact that he is? Or his he bi? Is this cultural? And so, which culture? I had many interesting questions but I just had to come to a possible conclusion, he just maybe liked kissing people on the hands? I'm still confused, but that is the most rational, and probable theory, but this mystery will remain...unsolved.

Since yalls prices for coffee is different than mine, I decided to change the price from 4.89 to 8.99. If that is overpriced or still cheap, leave a comment. I really want a smooth and clean experience while reading every chapter so correct my mistakes if you see any I missed, or comment any feedback. Hoped you enjoyed part 1 of ...this! I will definitely have more parts maybe 3 more, or possibly two, how long I would like it to be.

Anyways, I will posting the next part on Thursday before I will have a vacation but when I have free time, I will work on this, and when I finish that part, or when the trip is over, I will be posting that part. Just be on the lookout for the next part. I will be posting it in around 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Pacific time.
