BROOKE'S POV~
I look at Xavier, who's face was bright and happy. "Well, crap." I mutter. "How do you feel, Xavier?" I asked in monotone.
"Fine, actually." He replied, smiling even more. "Halo, why are you glowing?"
"It's a new makeup product she's using, it really works." Audrey stepped in as Halo opened her mouth. I looked at her with an 'that-is-the-worst-excuse-ever' look. She shrugged her shoulders slightly, so that only I can see it.
"Um, yeah." Halo caught on. Xavier looked at me, waiting to see if it's true. I nod my head, smiling.
"I'm gonna go call Chandler." I say, pointing towards the exit with my thumb. I walk out of the room, pulling out my phone. I dial Chandler's number, him picking up on the 2nd ring.
"Hey, Brooke." He answered.
"Hey. Can you come to the hospital? Xavier just woke up from a coma and, well, we need to tell you something about Halo."
"What is it?"
"She's dead." I whisper. After I say that, the line goes dead. "Chandler?" I try, but nothing is heard. I sigh and hang up, putting my phone away. I go back into the room, all eyes landing on me as the room fell silent. "What?"
"Nothing." Audrey says, her eyes turning orange.
"You're lying. You're eyes are changing." I state, rolling my eyes. "Wait, where's Halo?" I ask worried.
"We don't know." Audrey answers honestly. "She said she had to go, then she ran out."
"What?"

I left right after that. I just went outside, sitting on a bench and waiting for Chandler. He drives up a few minutes later, running up to me. Chandler has long, brown hair and beautiful green eyes. His face is a little pale and blemish free. (SEE SIDE PICTURE FOR CHANDLER)
He runs up and hugs me, his grip on me really tight. "Hey, Chandler." I mutter. He starts crying, hugging me like if he let me go I'd be gone. "It's alright, sh." I cooed, leading him to the bench. "Please, don't cry. It hurts me to see you like this."
"Why aren't you crying?" He asked suddenly. "I mean, your best friend just died."
I shrug my shoulders, even though I knew why. "Everything happens for a reason. And I've been around death a lot for some time now. I'm just used to it."
"It's sad, isn't it? You're so used to the idea of people dying that you're not even phased by the passing of Halo."
"Well, I know she isn't in pain. She's an angel, now. She might even be talking to God Himself. It's going to be fine." I comforted. He nodded, wiping off his tears. I leaned in and gave him a short kiss. "Come on, let's go inside."
He held my hand as we walked inside. We walked in silence until we reached the room. "Hey." Chandler said to Xavier. "How do you feel?"
"Good, surprisingly. I mean, Halo and I are alive, right?" He answered. Audrey and I turned to each other with wide eyes. Chandler furrowed his eyebrows, him not knowing if Halo was alive or not.
"He's in denial." Audrey rushed out. "I mean, if my boyfriend was dead, I'd be in denial as well."
"Yeah. Wouldn't you be in denial if I died?" I asked Chandler, not taking my eyes off of Xavier. Then, I turn to my lovable little butt munch. "Even though I'm used to people dying, I would never believe that you died. Never."
"Um, yeah. I suppose." Chandler said, shaking his head.
"Halo isn't dead. She was just right here." Xavier countered.
"See what I mean? Let her go, man." Audrey said, laughing nervously at the end. Wow, she sucks at lying. Her eyes begin to go from orange to red, and I know then that she's going to transform.
"Audrey, come on. Chandler, stay here and talk to Xavier." I rush, grabbing Audrey and leaving. I leave through the back exit, hiding in the woods. By the time we get there, Audrey is half way into her dragon form. "Stop." I mutter, time freezing right in front of me. I look at Audrey, focusing all of my power on her. "Calm." I say, then I tap her. She changed back into human form.
"What happened?" She asked, looking at herself.
"Resume." I mumble, time starting again.
"You never told me you can do that."
"I only told you about manipulating the elements and bringing people back from the dead." I smirk. "Come on, let's go. We have to find Halo."
