Chapter 14-

Once Harry and I got back to the house, Kendall was standing on the stone steps screaming her head off at Liam and Zayn. "How many times must I tell you idiots that those boxes go up stairs! Not in the fucking basement!!" Kendall screamed. I quickly ran over to them, ignoring Harry's protests and stood in front of Kendall. "Don't talk to them like that!" I snapped as she glared at me. "How dare you talk to me like that?" She slapped me through the face. "Kendall! Enough!" Harry snapped, standing in front of me. "You are sticking up for him?!" She shrieked. "You don't talk to them like that! And especially slapping them!" Harry snapped at her. "It's either them or me! And you know damn well I can't leave!" She screamed at Harry. "I am not getting rid of them!" Harry said. "You have no choice!" She said. "Listen here Kendall..." Harry began but I cut him off. "Its alright Harry, she wants me gone... I am her problem. Don't worry, I won't be around much longer Miss." I said and walked into the house and down the stairs. I was fuming mad. I was so mad right now as I slammed my room door before punching the wall. It should of hurt when i felt my knuckles crack under the pressure but I just screamed frustrated. There was a knock on the door as I punched the wardrobe, making my knuckles bleed. "What!?" I shouted as the door opened and Harry stepped in. I turned my back from him and fisted my hair in complete annoyance.

"Louis, please don't do this..." Harry whispered. "Do what Harry?! Huh? Quit?! Watch me!" I screeched facing him. "You're bleeding..." He trailed off walking towards me. "Don't. Even. Think. About. It!" I snapped backing away from him. "Louis, please can we just talk about this?" He asked. "What is there to talk about? I'm done Harry. I can't handle that woman anymore!" I said as I slid down the wall. "Louis, she can't do anything..." He said coming closer to me. "She can't? Don't make me laugh! She can do the fuck she wants now! I was standing up for my friends and she slapped me? She wants me gone Harry! Don't you get that? I will take the full time bartender job, and you can go on with your life." I said as I watched the blood drip down my hands. "I can't lose you Louis..." Harry said and I groaned. "Harry you don't understand!!!" I said now feeling the tears well up in my eyes. "Then help me understand!" Harry said sitting next to me. "You don't know what it feels like... How it feels to be hated on like this! I haven't done anything to this woman but according to her, I am the most hated person here!" I snapped clutching my hair in my hands. "Louis..." Harry started but I stopped it. "No Harry! I don't want to hear it! I have lost everything! I just have my sisters! I got this job to earn money for my sisters! Not to make friends, not to have feelings for my boss! Harry you are my boss!!!! You shouldn't care about me! You should just order us to do whatever you want and you should be messing with Kendall! Because we are all supposed to be nothing to you!! We are workers... But you made me fall for you! You made me care and I can't do this anymore..." I said crying, feeling strong sobs rack through my body and I buried my face into my knees.

Next thing I felt Harry wrap his arms tightly around me and as much as I fought him, he never let go so I just relaxed and cried into him. "I won't let her do anything to you Lou... I can't lose you." He whispered, pulling me even closer to him. "You can't promise that." I choked out. "I can Louis. I can promise you that!" He said but I shook my head. "Please don't promise something you can't keep." I stated as I pulled my head away from him. He stared at me with his bright green eyes, and I didn't know what his eyes were telling me. "Please let me clean your knuckles..." He begged and I sighed, giving in as he gently pulled me up and lead my out the room and up to the kitchen. I kept my gaze down as he told me to sit on the counter. I didn't argue, too tired to even think. "Harry!" Kendall shouted but Harry ignored her as he came over to me with a bowl of warm water and a cloth. "Harry! What are you doing in the... Kitchen?" Kendall said with a hint of disgust in her voice. "Leave." He said as he took my hand and placed the warm damp cloth onto my hand, making me wince in pain. "What are you doing with him?" She asked with more disgust. "I said LEAVE Kendall!!! I am not in the mood to put up with your shit!" He snapped, not even looking towards her. "Don't talk to me like that!" Kendall began. Harry clenched his jaw but ignored her as he rinsed the clothes off in the warm water before wiping my knuckles again. "Looks like someone got a bit angry..." Kendall said as I turned my gaze towards her and saw her smirking at me. I clenched my fists, ready to snap back but Harry stopped me. "Just leave it." He whispered. I looked into his pleading eyes and I sighed, looking back down at my knuckles. Harry took the disinfectant and poured a small amount on every cut, making me wince in pain. "Harry, why are you cleaning a servants cuts? That's not your job..." Kendall said and that is when Harry seemed to lose it. "Listen here Kendall... I don't care what you say or do to me but talking about Louis like he is a object?! You're sick! You know that! You live the life with all the camera's around you! Unfortunately for you, I won't stand for it! Now you either learn to respect the staff here, or I will make sure that you have nothing to do with me in any shape or form! Understood?" He snapped and she smirked. "Oh Harry... You will come around sooner than you think." She said before walking out.

I stared blankly at the door that she once stood at as Harry groaned before turning around to face me again and wrapping my hand in bandages. "I'm sorry..." I whispered and he looked confused. "Why are you sorry?" He asked. "I seem to mess everything up..." I said looking down. "You don't mess everything up... You haven't messed up at all!" He said putting his index finger under my chin so I could look at him. "Don't beat yourself up Lou... You are amazing alright. Don't ever think you aren't." He whispered and I smiled. "Harry I have something I need to tell you..." I said and he nodded for me to continue. I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to say this. I reached into my pocket and took the piece of paper out. Harry looked confused and I sighed handing it to him. "What's this?" He asked. "Its a phone number..." I said and he frowned. "For who?" He asked. "Uh... Um... I..." I couldn't tell him. I took a deep breath and looked into his eyes before sighing. "Linda." I said softly and I watched his eyes widen in fear. "What?" He asked stepping away. "I wasn't supposed to tell you... In the field, it wasn't a rabbit but a girl... The same girl I saw in those photos." I said looking down, shutting my eyes and waiting for him to scream at me. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked. "I wanted too but she told me not too. She said she feels guilty for what she did..." I said keeping my eyes shut. It was silent and I took a chance to look up at him. He was staring at the piece of paper in his hand, like he was memorizing the number. "Did she say why she left?" Harry asked and I nodded, not saying a word though. "She asked if I could meet up with her tonight, so she could tell me the story. She said she couldn't face you again, knowing that the guilt she feels will slowly kill her..." I said and he nodded. "Go! Go talk to her... I want to know the reasons... the full story. Please Louis..." He said and I nodded. "Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded quickly. "Please, I need to know!" He said as I jumped off the counter. I took the number from his hand and dialed it into my phone.

I waited for a while until she finally answered it. "Hello?" She said and I felt Harry stiffen next to me. "Hi, uh is this Linda?" I asked. "Yes, who might this be?" She asked. "Uh its Louis... from this afternoon in the field... I was with Harry." I said and she sighed. "I thought you weren't going to call." She said and I chuckled. "Sorry, I guess I was busy. Still want to meet up?" I asked. "Yeah, I need to finally tell someone my whole story..." She said and I nodded. "Alright, what time and where?" I asked. She told me where to meet her and had to be there by 7. I hung up and looked at Harry who seemed to be staring into space. "You sure you are okay with this?" I asked softly. He snapped his head towards me and gave me a small smile. "Yeah, I am sure." He said and walked up to me before hugging me tightly. "Thank you." He whispered in my ear before pulling back slowly and looking down at me. I just wanted to wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down and kiss him but we were interrupted by Kendall once again. "Harry my dad is coming tonight for dinner. We are going to need everyone on top form." She said entering the kitchen as Harry and I pulled away quickly. "Louis has the night off." Harry stated and Kendall glared at me but just nodded. Probably glad I won't be here. She walked out the kitchen again, ordering everyone else in the house on things to do as Harry walked up to me and pushed me against the counter. "What are you doing?" I whispered and he smirked, placing a quick kiss on my lips. "I just had to do it." He whispered and pulled away before throwing a set of keys at me. "What are these?" I asked. "The keys to the Land Rover, it will be cheaper then a taxi and I am sure you have a licence right?" He asked and I nodded. "Good, you better get ready, its almost time to go." He said and walked out the kitchen and I smiled before running back to my room and changing into something casual and heading out to meet with Linda...
