"oh, my god. izzie!" madelyn called, walking out of the stall.
"what? what happened? are you okay?" izzie worried, walking out of her stall. izzie took one look at madelyn's face and realized what had happened.
"oh, my god! you're pregnant!" izzie cheered.
"i, i'm pregnant." madelyn repeated in disbelief.
"we have to do further tests." madelyn said, looking up from hers.
"you have to tell alex!"
"no, not yet. we have to see how far along it is and see if this might have been a false positive."
"false positives are super rare."
"i know. i'm not taking that chance."
"what about meredith? you gonna tell her?"
"no. no one has to know, understand?"
izzie nodded, pretending to zip her lips and throw away the key.
"cmon, let's get you to the o.b.!" izzie sang, grabbing madelyn's arm and dragging her off.

"you are pregnant." the o.b. confirmed.
"look, right there." she pointed to the ultrasound on the screen.
"oh, my god. it's real. how many weeks?" madelyn asked.
"looks to be about, one and a half, two weeks."
"so, in other words, it is alex's." madelyn confirmed.
"i'm so happy for you!" izzie squealed.
"thanks. i don't know if i should keep it, though. what about my career, izzie? i haven't been a intern for that long and i'm busy enough, i don't know if i can handle a baby."
"you should talk to alex about it. maybe he wants to keep it."
"i don't know izzie... maybe it's best to abort it sooner then later."
"miss, if you are considering abortion, maybe you should also think about adoption. there are tons of great families that would adopt your child."
