Chase is just mad, he'll get over it, I thought. As long as Chloe is out of the picture, Derek will be cooped up in his office like always, and Chase and I can raise our baby together. I went to the grocery store to get a pregnancy test to pee on in front of Derek. He didn't believe I was pregnant, but that's fine. I am pregnant, but it isn't Derek's baby. I just have to make sure divorce isn't an option anymore. If Derek were to divorce me while I'm pregnant with another man's baby, I won't get a dime!

I got back to the house and Derek was waiting for me. "Hi Derek. I got a test for the both of us to see the results for ourselves." Derek was silent, as expected. "Okay, well stay quiet all you want, I'm going to go pee on the stick." A few moments later, we're staring at a positive pregnancy test and one smile in the room. Mine. Derek didn't say anything as I expected.

"Well Derek, I'm pregnant, it's yours and you should stop seeing that little bitch of yours too before you have a scandalous look in the press." Derek cut his eyes at me with a look that could've struck me down right there. "So you'd ruin my image, just to keep me on a leash of yours." he sobbed. "Oh puh-lease Derek", I said rolling my eyes, "nobody gets married for love anymore okay? We get married to someone that'll give us a better life. and that's exactly what you are. MY better life. OUR better life, for our baby." Derek didn't say much of anything, he just got up and left...
