I drove around the city, with no destination. I needed to clear my head, or maybe drive off of a bridge; whichever came first. I parked the car and got out and started walking. I stumbled upon a bar and decided to get a drink. I walked in and the bar was pretty empty. Just a guy at the bar and a couple at the booth. I sat two seats away from the unknown guy at the bar and ordered a shot of vodka. "Leave the bottle please", I said to the bartender. I took my shot and drank from the bottle. "Rough night?" the unknown man asked me. I looked over to him, what the hell, he doesn't know me from a can of paint. "My soon to be ex wife, just told me she was pregnant, which she confirmed in my face, and I don't remember having sex with her because she got me shit faced so I wouldn't remember, so she and her lover can continue to live off of my dime. And the worst part is...I'm in love with Chloe and I don't know what to say to her." I began to sob, "I'm in love with her and I thought I found my happiness because she's a ray of sunshine to me man. But this evil bitch just keeps reeling me into her miserable life."

The unknown man looked appalled that I just confided in a stranger. "What's your name?" he asked. "Derek." The man looked at me and said, "Derek, you're in love with this Chloe girl? Don't let anyone stop you two from being together." The unknown man finished his drink and left out the door.
