Chapter 17: library time with Dante

'hay Dante, I'm on my way to the library'
'ok Lu, I'll just wait here for you then.' I finally get to talk to him. We both been so busy and I really want to know why those guys at the hospital said I couldn't see him. I run into the library and look around. He's not here? 'Dante where are you?'
'come to the very back where you don't see any one' the very back? I walk deeper in to the library. I'm at the back now but he's not here.
' Dante? I can't find you.'
'your at the back right like right right at the back.'
I walked up to the dead end. No one ever goes this back into the library. "Lu..." I look to the left of me and see Dante sitting on a table in front of a window. "Dante! Wow I'd didn't know there was a bend here ."
"You can only see it if you walk up to the dead end." This is so cool. I giggled and Dante did the same."Lu it's been a while."
"It's been too long." Just seeing Dante make me so happy. "So how's life been so far." Oh my I have so many things to tell you Dante but... "I really want to know what happened to you."
"Will get to that later." He smiled. I want up to the table and sat on the chair, I smile back at him. "Something cool happened a couple weeks back."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah! I got my quink and it epic! I also have a mentor now."
"Is it a girl? Maybe you could hook me up."
"Haha, I'm sorry it a guy but he does look a bit like a girl."
"I don't mind."
"Don't be weird." I shoved him and he patted my head. "Anyways he's really cool, his name is Juuzou Suzuya. I actually first met him when you called me over to the hospital that one time..."
*Time skip*
We talked about what happened to me while he was in the hospital. For some reason he would make a really sad smile when I talked about Juuzou and Connor, it's almost like he's jealous... Haha what am I thinking. "Anyway that's the gist of it."
"I'm proud of you"
"Why?"
"You was able to handle talking with your roommate when he was sad."
"Yeah that was really scary and embarrassing but I think I pulled it of." I looked at my phone and it was getting to 8pm. "Ok that's enough of me, now! tell me what happened to you" I said in a childish voice.
"You really want to know that badly huh?" I didn't reply. "Fine... But promise me nothing will change after."
"I promise. With all my heart" nothing will ever change the way I feel about you. "No more secrets from this point on." He smiled softly and began talking. He started with when we were kids and how we became friends. Dante didn't always have brown eyes, for the longest time as a kid I thought it was red.... A strange colour to have as a human but being a kid I didn't know any better so I when along with it,when they turned brown I forgot all about them. I forgot when but I started having a small thought that Dante was a ghoul. My childhood and him telling me didn't change the way I see Dante. "Im...I'm a ghoul." He looked like he wants me to respond but this is not what I want. " I just told you I'm a ghoul" fin I'll entertain you a bit. "Is that why I remember you having red eyes as a kid?"
"Yeah, I didn't know how to hide them. I was so against you joining the CCG because of this problem."
"So how did you manage to get in the school?"
"A contract. My body basically belongs to the CCG, when you tried to come to the hospital that one time I was just coming back from an experiment for finding new ways to kill ghouls."
"They're experimenting on you!? What about your human rights!"
"Doesn't really matters since-"
"What do you mean it doesn't matter!"
"I'm not human." Oh yeah he's a ghoul but still... "Why are you doing this to your self?"
"To stay with you. But they are putting me on a mission and it'll take a while made a year but-" That's stupid Dante I don't want you to hert yourself because of me. How can I help? what can I do? "Dante you need to stop if it means being a lad rat."
"No. Lu I can't leave you by yourself."
"I know I'm not too good with people but I can handle myself. You don't need to look after me any more, I have friends"
"No that's not what I mean.. i-i... I don't want to leave you." I need to find a way to help Dante. "Oh I know, Juuzou!"
"What?"
"He can help I'm sure oh and Connor he's a ghoul as well!" Dante's face looks a bit pisses. "He's a ghoul?"
"Um yeah.. Connors a ghoul. Did I not tell you?"
"No you didn't,"
"I guess it slipped my mind, but that doesn't matter they are both super cool so they can help"
"I don't need there help" why do you look so pisst again? It's like you have something against them Dante. I stood up and He pushed me to the shelf place his hand on the side blocking my exit. Too close.
