Chapter 11: Frenemies?

It's been 2 days since I put Dante in the hospital. Maybe I'll fulfill his last words. "Take Conner to the pizza place." I was getting bored of watching ani-"OMG DEKU YOU PRECIOUS BALL GENIUS! YOUR GOING TO BE NUMBER ONE! PLUS ULTRA!!" Just then I heard the door open. Conner came and went straight to watched football games."Huh, watching pointless sports instead of studying Connor," he was watching without headphones so it was annoying "I thought you were better than that"
"The same can be said for you Lu, you're watching anime, and just so you know, we have another test tomorrow. It's on ghoul anatomy and how kagunes work, so heads up." Anatomy it's pretty easy I'll pass.
"Ok thanks so anyway, Dante, my friend told me to make more friends so do you want to go to the pizza place downtown?" I'm about to  complete you're dying words are you proud Dante? "Yes I love that place" we both stop watching whatever we where watching and when to the pizza place. when we got there, we ordered Half Pineapple, half sweet corn, jalapenos pizza and Banana milkshake, and strawberry milkshake. We sat down "So how did you get 98% on the test exactly."
"I already told you, I studied and I'm half ghoul anyway." Really a half ghoul? And here I thought he was joking."Yeah like I'm gonna believe that" there super rare. He took out his phone and call someone. It said one of my teachers name. "Why do you casually have a teacher's number?"
"Don't worry" what do you mean!!
"Um sasaki are you there" he started talking to sir on the other side of the phone. He then put it on speaker. " I'm a half ghoul right"
"Yeah"
"Ok that's all Bye"
"Bye" I'm sorry but this child justed called a teacher for this? I still have my doubts.
"Do you believe me now" but I'll juy say "Yeah I guess so."  The food finally came. I was about to talk a bigte out of my Pineapple pizza when Conner says "How can you eat pineapple on pizza it's disgusting" those words almost triggered me.  "What you mean! This is the best topping ever, especially compared to yours"
"Yeah right"
We finished and I went to take out my wallet. "Oops..  I forgot my wallet. Sorry" oh no I'm so use to Dante always paying. Conner laughed "alright I guess I'll pay for it this time" after that we When back to our room and talk about random stuff. "It's always been on my mind, who are those people in that picture on you desk"
"My wife and son" he has a family!!
"At this age you have kids?" He looked sad all of a sudden. Nice going Lu you messed up."Nevermind... I'm was not trying to be rude"
"No don't worry they made me happy and I miss them"
We want on taking about his family and why he missed them.
