The morning came, I did my usual routine; shower, eat (drink coffee), and feeding Sumo. As I was about to head out, I looked through the old files to find, ex-officer Todd Williams. He was once a good police officer, handle his work, going to a once happy family. Suddenly things turn upside down for him, drugs, leaving wife, and abusing the civilians. I walked out, leaving Sumo at the yard with food and water for him, locking the gate. I drove to work and parking fromt of the station, I then notice Connor coming in as well. "Hey mister hero" I walked next to him, as he looked at me surprised, "good morning Lieutenent!" "You looked tired, you okay?" I asked as he nodded quickly, 'must be tired cause of last night' I thoight as we went to our desks. I was about to sit down when Captain Ciber called me, "lieutenent, it's rime to analyze Mr. Williams" I sighed and followed her, "should I come too?" Connor asked as I looked at him. "You can watch kid, but better leave the questioning to me" we walked into the room where we have a onesided mirror. I looked at him in that room, he knew what this place is and won't matter for him. I told everyone to stay here as I went inside where Todd is. As I went inside, we looked at each other until one of us spoke first. "Hey Hank" I sat down making eye contact, "what? Can't say hi to an old friend?" He commented, "hello Todd, how are you?" "Well... I'm here in the cold cell of prison" he smirked, a looked of a sad man. "Todd you know why you are here" "domestic abuse, hurting a women and almost to my kid." "Not only that... it seems you have your old friend back" revealing a bag of red powder. "Back to Red Ice, Todd?" "Now are sure it's me? Surely it the woman can be on it" he looked at the mirror. "Hey Captain, fair is fair, maybe it's that bloody woman" 'you're an idiot Todd' I thought to myself. "Todd we checked their blood... clean and the only person left is you. Don't forget you have a record Todd" silence was in air. "Fine, fine it's me" He confessed and we went with the usual procedure. As he went back to his cell I went back to everyone else, "what will happen now, captain?" North asked followed by Markus and Connor. "He will be behind bars, we must let the woman and daughter confess more to know his punishment." Everyone nodded, I walked to captain to her office "if this goes well, Williams will be long gone for while" "yes captain" "... I know he was a good officer to you Lieutenent, I'm sorry" I nodded. Leaving captain and returned to my desk looking at the three talking. "You know that Lawrence lady is pretty cute" North stated, looking at Connor, "maybe someone should get back to the saddle" "saddle?" Connor questioned it, I sighed and just listened to the three. North Montoya, an officer top of her class, bright, charism, can annoy anyone especial me; Markus Manfred, an man who can talk his way to people, second command next to me, and then Connor Johnson, third command next to me, follows every rules by the book, doesn't know much on figure of speeches for fun joke play but for some reason all three came together. Now they are under my division, along with new members, Norman Jayden and Carter Blake. "Hey Lit. Hank! You there, old man?" North face to face wtih me as she place coffee on my desk. "Who the hell are you callong old?" I said as I drank the coffee, "you" she commented and continued to the conservation, "anyway Lit. Hank, Connor said you and him should inform the Ms. Lawrence lady." I looked at Connor who was ready to go. I thanked North for telling me and headed out with Connor, "Wow Connor, eager to get there right now" "Lit. Hank it is a protocal for such event as these" "alright alright boyscout." We drove off to the address where the girls are now living in, it was a familiar street the apartment was near my house and Norman's apartment. The apartment where the woman is, has a very simple brick style apartment, two storage high, and expands like a large edge shape look. When we got inside and found which floor, Connor knocked first, "Coming!" A female voice came behind that door which open, releaving a jet-black hair, slim woman. "Hello may I help you?" She asked and Connor replied, "yes ma'am, we are police officers, is ms. Lawrence around?" She nodded and invited us in. We saw the little girl drawing and Ms. Lawrence came forward, "Connor?" She said. "Hello Kara" 'First name basis, Connor?' I thought. "We came to speak on what happens next with your husband" I informed where and lead us to the kitchen. We told her and her friend on what she needs to do now is to inform the court what has been going on, and we asked what will she want to do now. "Well... I was thinking of divorce" Ms. Lawrence, "doing that means you have to follow these procedures, and may we ask what will happen to the child, Ms. Lawrence?" I asked as Ms. Winter brought us water. "Please call me Kara... I want to to keep Alice... she needs me" "well with that being said, please have a good lawyer with you on that presented day. Thank you for your time Kara" I thanked her and greeted the kid, Alice, a bye along with Lauren Winter and Kara Lawrence. "Thank you officer... thank you Connor" she smiled at him, which he smiled back, "you're welcome Kara." Connor and I walked back to the car, "you know that Kara, looks like a sweet one" he nodded in agreement, as we drove off "she looks like she is good for the kid" he nodded, "hey maybe she'll find a nice guy to have, eh?" He stopped looked away and nodded, looking at the window which I can still see him blushing hard. "Connor... do you have a crush on her?" I said with a smirk, "Lit. Hank! Don't assume those kinds of conclusions! Officer Montoya is a very bad influence you" he stammered as he looked at me, red as a tomato, I just laughed and went head to the station. "Relax Connor, that's fine... haha.. can't wait to tell North" "don't" he stated as we headed back.
