Saved.

Ryan is on her way back to her Base island on a carrier ship. But she's thrown off the ship in a dark, stormy night, just a few hours away from reaching shore. In the morning, she finds herself swimming to shore- she somehow survived the night by swimming as hard as she could. As she gets closer, she's so weak on energy but sees that zombies are blocking her way so she needs to stay alert. They can't swim, so they're waiting for her at the edge of the slope and she realizes no matter where she turns, they'll still be blocking her way.

So, Ryan decides to swim out of their line of sight. She holds her breath and goes underwater, swimming as fast as she can past their feet and she splashes them as she swiftly scrambles out of the water. In a scared rush, she trips and falls, but gets up again fast and starts running as they're literally at her heels. Ryan screams as loud as she possibly can, and sprints into the street with all the energy she has left. Her heart is thumping inside her ribcage, threatening to break out. Just then, a red car suddenly speeds up to Ryan's feet as she stops in the middle of the street, making the driver slam his brakes so he doesn't hit her.

She's paralyzed with fear.

As Jimmy starts getting out of the car, he sees the zombies jump and attack a petrified Ryan. She's so dripping wet, and obviously ran out of all her energy to fight back. Jimmy rushes to the zombies and bashes them all up black and blue until they're all laying dead on the road.
He then turns to Ryan, who by now passed out of pure exhaustion. He walks over to her and gently picks her up off the ground and puts her in his car. He gets in the car and starts driving to Base.

When he gets there, Matt is sitting by the ladder of their building, and when he sees a dripping Ryan with zombie scratches all over her, he runs over to the car as Jimmy gets out.
"What the f***ing hell happened to Ryan?!" he asks, worried.
"I went to get some stuff for us and I heard her screaming, followed the sound of her screams and found her with a bunch of zombies and I basically saved her," explains Jimmy as he takes Ryan out of the car. Then he and Matt carry Ryan up the ladder to the roof of their building to get her warm and dried up by the fire.

Jimmy delicately wraps a blanket around Ryan as the night draws closer and he holds her tight in his lap as they've been waiting almost all day for her to wake up now. Matt had burned a fire, and now he's brightening it up as he asks Jimmy, "I'm a bit curious. Do you and Ryan like each other?" Jimmy smiles and says yes, and then questions Matt's knowledge. "I see it in the way you're holding her, man. Also, now I think she's just asleep now and she's not pulling away from you. Let me say, if I were you, she'd have been sleeping on the floor." Matt smirks.

Jimmy looks down and realizes Ryan is ok now. He watches as Ryan smiles in her sleep and then buries her face in his chest. He smiles and strokes her hair as he looks into the sparks of the fire and holds her tighter.
