beep beep beep

You realized that you smacked your alarm clock a little too hard as you heard the sound of it crashing to the floor. You rubbed your eyes after blinking a few times. You kept asking yourself why exactly you even requested to become a teacher in the first place as you changed into fitting clothes for the meeting with Principal Nezu. Even though you knew you were able to fully control your quirk now, you were still scared of losing that control and ending up hurting the students and other teachers. You looked down as you remembered the feeling of guilt you had in you when you had no control over your quirk.

Slap.

You fell to the floor as a hand slapped your face, sending intense pain to your cheeks.

"What did I say about using your quirk?"

"T-To control it.."

"And what are you doing?"

"Using it...B-But I didn't mean to! I couldn't cont—

"Nonsense! I don't want any more excuses coming from that little lying mouth of yours. I know you can control it."

"I really am trying..."

"Act like it."

You watched the tall figure of your father storm out of you room, slamming the door on his way out. You were left on the floor with red marks stinging on your cheeks.

I didn't choose to be this way.

You shook your head, snapping out of your thoughts. If I can't kill myself, might as well just do something with my stupid life. But they'll probably end up firing you anyways because you knew you had no potentials in teaching any core subjects.

You checked your watch and realized that you were running late. You quickly rushed out of your house, slamming the door behind you. As you walked for almost five minutes, you realized that you ended up skipping breakfast. It was alright since you didn't have an appetite anyways. You checked the address Nezu had sent you and came to the realization that you had walked past the street you were supposed to turn at. You grunted in annoyance and slapped yourself in the head. You started running after checking the time again and realizing that you were running out of time. You started slowing down as you finally reached a place with huge metal gates and tall walls surrounding it. You saw a small button on the side of the gate and pressed it assuming that it was connected to the speaker.

"Hello?" You recognized the friendly voice of the principal coming from the speaker.

"Hi. I'm here for an appointment at 8:00 AM."

"Your name, Miss?"

"[F/N][L/N]."

"Let's see..." the voice paused for a few seconds before it spoke again. "Ah, found it! Please come in!"

A green light shone next to the button as the speaker turned off. You jumped back in surprise as the huge metal gates in front of you started to part. Your eyes widened slightly as you walked into the schoolyard. Jesus Christ...this place is huge...As expected from the number one Hero course school. You found yourself wandering around at the front. Everything looked so beautiful. You heard your phone let off a small "ding" sound and quickly glanced over at it. It was eight. You quickly turned back and ran towards the front doors. You suddenly felt your left foot slip on something. You tried to stop yourself from falling but it was too late. You landed with a crash as you fell on one of the steps.

"God damn." you cursed under your breath.

"Hey can you move? You're blocking the path. Watch your step next time." a deep and lazy sounding voice came out of no where, sending chills down your spine.

You turned your head to see a tall black figure standing behind you. The tall man had messy, black, shoulder length hair. You couldn't help but notice the dark eyebags under his lifeless eyes. Who the hell is he? Is he even a teacher..?

"Quit staring at me. Can you move already?" his voice sounded slightly more irritated this time.

"Sorry..." you were still speechless and wasn't sure if he was a villain or teacher. Well if he was a villain, he probably wouldn't be able to get in here...

You shook your head and looked at the time again. 8:05 AM. Shit. You ran up the steps more carefully this time, making sure not to trip again. The interior of the school was even more amazing than the outside. It looked like a mansion-sized maze. You ran up the stairs to the second floor and turned many corners before finally reaching a room with the sign "Principal Nezu" on it. You took in a deep breath before knocking on the door.

"Come in!" you sighed in relief as the voice didn't have any hints of anger or irritation. You were quite surprised to find a small mouse figure sitting behind a desk sipping his tea.

"Um...Are you Principal Nezu?" you weren't sure if you even came to the right place.

"Yes, and you must be Miss [L/N]?"

"Yes."

"Well I'm sorry to tell you this but...you see, you arrived quite late so I'm afraid you have to go home."

Your heart dropped. "P-Pardon me?"
