"Because of Me" [Aizawa x Reader]

Chapter 9

The few things that happened next felt like a long, tormenting nightmare. You didn't know what was happening anymore. It was as if everything was happening in slow motion.

You watched in horror as Aizawa dashed in front of you, blocking the powerful punch the bird aimed at you. You felt tears rolling down your cheeks as a painful groan sounded from Aizawa.

You felt something spark within you that brought you out of the paralysis. The bird creature suddenly froze in place. What's happening, why isn't it moving? The bird turned around right as you finished your thought. You let out a small gasp. When did my quirk activate...?

You looked down to see Aizawa's almost lifeless body laying on the ground. You'll pay for this, hand villain. You no longer cared about others finding out about your quirk. I just need the students and him to be safe.

Attack that villain full force. You ordered in your mind. As soon as you gave the order, the giant creature started charging towards the hand villain.

"Nomu?! What are you doing?" your were surprised to hear the villain sound so anxious for once.

As the so called "Nomu" fought with the villain, you quickly bent down and kneeled beside Aizawa.

"Please, Aizawa, wake up..." you whispered to him while rubbing your eyes to stop the remaining tears from falling. "I'm sorry for being so useless and reckless...How am I supposed to protect the students and everyone else if I can't even protect myself? I really don't fit in here, do I?" you breathed out while smiling to yourself. If someone else was here instead of me, they probably would have saved everyone by now. I'm just a burden to this school. I'm a burden to everyone around me.

Your eyes snapped open as you felt a hand grab onto your wrist.

"We haven't lost yet, you know." the cold and monotone voice of Aizawa spoke from beneath you. You looked down to see him with one eye opened, staring straight into your eyes.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

You immediately stood up as you heard a scream from afar. The hand villain disintegrated the Nomu's left arm.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY NOMU?! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS," the villain screamed at you.

Your eyes widened as the hand villain ran towards the three students' direction.

"Don't think I didn't notice them here," the villain said with a big wide grin.

"SMASH!" Deku suddenly jumped up and charged up his arm to punch the villain. The villain turned around and grabbed Deku's face with four fingers, smashing him into the water.

"Too slow, though I find your quirk very interesting. It reminds me of someone." the villain wore a face full of malice as he turned his head towards Tsuyu. "You're next."

STOP HIM! You quickly ordered the Nomu but you realized that it was too late. FASTER!

You looked away from the direction. I failed. You slowly turned your head back as dead silence fell between everything. What happened? You covered your mouth with your hands. No way...

"You are really cool...Eraser."

You looked down to see Aizawa's opened eye glowing a luminous red color. He had deactivated the villain's quirk despite being so heavily injured. His spirit really inspired you. I really wish I could overcome my fears completely.

Nomu, keep attacking the villain. As the Nomu started moving, you felt a sudden tiredness wash over you. Your quirk was reaching its limit. No...It can't end this way...You forced yourself to stay conscious. Just a little bit..longer.

Your vision started turning blurry. You felt both of your legs going numb. It's over. Darkness filled your vision.

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GOD DAMN MIND? MOVE OUT OF TH—

Crash

It was as if you were glued to the ground.

"Don't overdo it now, Eraser."

You couldn't move.

"AGH!" the painful scream of Aizawa sounded in your ears.

Crack

You couldn't do anything but watch this painful battle happen over and over again. Everytime the battle reaches to the end, it starts all over again from the beginning.

"You're next." the blue haired villain turned his head and stared straight into your eyes.

He was smiling at you.

"Having fun watching your little friend getting hurt because of you?"

Beep Beep Beep Beep

You sat up in cold sweat as the sound of a heartbeat monitor filled your ears. I'm in the hospital. . .How did I even come out alive?And where's—

"Oh thank goodness Miss! You're awake!" a nurse walked in the door, smiling at you.

"O-Oh...Hi."

"Sorry if I scared you, I was just happy you're finally awake!"

"Finally awake? How long was I out for?"

"About four days."

"What?"

"I was afraid you were falling into a coma! I'm glad you're alright though!"

"Can I leave yet?"

"Yes, after the checkup that will happen in a moment. If it shows that you are healthy, you are welcome to leave! If not, you will probably stay for another day or two."

"Alright...Thanks."

You looked down and noticed your arms in thin layers of bandages along with some white bandaids. You flipped over the cover and saw your left leg in a cast.

"Oh, by the way...When can I take these bandages and the cast off?"

"Ah, yes, those. The femur in your left leg was shattered. The skin on the bottom half of your leg was disintegrated by a villain. It will at least take four months for the femur to form back and at least two months for your skin to completely heal. We have a leg support system that will allow you to move around freely without a wheelchair, though you cannot run. The bandages on your arms are only for a few scratches that you got. You can take those off in approximately two to three weeks." the nurse explained.

"Oh...Okay." That was one strong villain. And that Nomu...What even was that? You were thankful that you came out alive. The only concern that still remained within you was of Aizawa and the students were okay. You crossed your fingers.

I really hope they are...
