Whats Going On?

Hey guys sorry for not updating in a while. It's been a crazy few weeks. I've been moving then my birthday came around so it's been crazy. Anyway here's the next chapter.

Tyler's P.O.V
"M-mom?"

I stand there in silence as I look at my mom. She was the last person I expected to see at the store.

"Tyler. How have you been? I haven't seen you in a week!" She looked at me with confused eyes. I guess it was a bit weird for her for me to never come home then tell her I'm at a friends. I'd usually let her know so I wouldn't get in trouble.

"Y-yeah it's been a bit. I-I'm good. I've just been hanging out with my friend Josh" I gesture to Josh. He stands there awkwardly knowing what'll happen if my mom finds out the truth. Josh will go to jail and I'll go back home where nobody cares much about me.

"Hello Mrs. Joseph. I'm Josh." My mom looks at him with soft eyes realizing how nice he is. She then says hello back and turns to me.

"Tyler what's going on? You'd usually tell me before you go to a friends then you go off and spend a week with him without telling me? You're father won't be too happy about this!" She tells me

Yeah dad wouldn't be too happy about this if he gave a shit about me. And if he's drunk when he finds out he definitely won't be too happy about it.

"Sorry mom it was kind of a last minute thing and I sho-should've told you but I forgot. I'm so-sorry."

She just looks at me for a minute. She looks like she's thinking about something. I look over at Josh and he's staring at his feet awkwardly.

"Tyler I don't know if I should take you home now or let you go back to your friends. I don't know what the best option is here and I don't know what option would be better for your father."

"Mom no please let me stay with Josh! He makes me happy and he can make me laugh until I cry. Please don't take me away from him. Make up an excuse for dad. Please." I looked at her with pleading eyes. She sighed.

"I'll talk to your father when I get home then I'll let you know. Be good and I'll let you know what he says about it." I jumped and hugged her.

"Thanks mom. Try to get him to let me stay please." She nods and with a goodbye we part ways."

Me and Josh awkwardly looked at each other.

"I'm sorry Josh. I didn't expect to see her here and I know it was probably real awkward and I'm so sorry." He pulls me into a hug.

"Tyler it's ok. You didn't know this would happen and your mom is real nice. Let's finish up here and go home." And so we did. After grabbing a few more things we were back home.

•time skip a few hours later•
Me and Josh were laying on the couch watching a movie when my phone dings saying I got a text. I grabbed it and looked at who it was from.
