Angeline
~
'Well, that was a solemn atmosphere... and a close one too...too close' I breathed, mentally giving myself a quick pat on the back for quick thinking, but I couldn't help feeling an ounce of guilt for lying to her like that 'Ugh! I blame Harry' ...'I am her best friend...and best friends don't lie to one another...This isn't what best friends do! They don't lie, they don't deceive each other, they don-' I was cut off, by my other voice...'the other me''Hey! Hey! We didn't lie...We aren't deceiving anyone. We just didn't tell her the whole truth. It's nothing dangerous and besides, we're trying to reunite these star-crossed lovers. This will profit Isabelle in the long run, do you hear me? It will!'
'You're right...you're right... But I just feel bad keeping things from her. She's like a sister to me, the sister I never had and always longed for. She's the peanut butter to my jelly. The pumpkin spice to my latte. If it wasn't obvious or clear to you guys I lied. I just lied to my best friend-sister, though I am pretty sure that she knows that I was lying. She's clever like that.'
'Relax Angie! Even if she does know that you lied about your Nana, she doesn't know about who she really is and what her destiny foretells. She doesn't remember the real her.' That's what we're here to do. Steer her in the right direction.'
'Yeah...Once again, my consciousness is right,' 'I know I am. Since when am I ever wrong', she responded, smug. I rolled my eyes and let out a breath.
'Focus Angeline!? You can angst over this later. Now, let's see...Bells is going to be seeing her soulmates in less than two hours. Her makeup needs to be on fleek and spot on! Now, what colours should I use? Hmm....' With that thought in mind, I beckoned the brunette towards Sephora.
Belle
~
"Hey Bells, why don't we go into Sephora and see what makeup brands they have. Oh! I bet we'll find something that will look cute on you. Maybe something special for tonight.'Ugh! Make-up, my one true enemy!'"C'mon Bells, let's go" she proded. With a reluctant groan and a small smile, I allowed the shorter girl to drag me along towards millions upon billions of cosmetics girls smear on their faces to mask their flaws and hide all their insecurities. 'Why do girls smear this on their faces all the time....I will never know...'
"Hey Ang?"
"Hmm...yeah?"
"Is this all really necessary? All this makeup and cosmetics....?" I asked, eyeing a shelf of varied red eyeshadows, knowing fully well that for the creation of most of more of these products, an entire forest might have been torn down. That a poor innocent and defenseless animal might have been left homeless.
"Why do we even need more make-up. We already have some back at home. Let's just use that instead of wasting our time and money," I objectified, rolling my eyes.
"Hmm, well that's you not me, okay? Let me just keep looking. I swear it's only one thing I need to find...once I am done, I'll meet you at the cashier. Deal?"
I rolled my eyes, knowing what 'one thing' really meant. She was going to take hours, probably shopping for both herself and I, despite my protests. Angie does things her way. Always.
"How about I go browse that nearby bookshop. When you're done, come find me, deal?" Now it was her turn to roll her eyes.
"Sure. Sure, now off you go, you lanky bookworm" with a satisfied shrug of my shoulders, I made my way out, not before hearing Angie mutter, "You and your books. Can you two ever be apart from each other for more than a few day?"
I said nothing about it. Just rolled my eyes and left the blonde haired bombshell to her own devices.
