"She's not coming back until the end." Toni said calmly.

I could feel her eyes on my back as I continued to stare at the door.
"How would you know?"
"Personal experience."
"Okay. Well, I'll just read then."
I turned away from the door and grabbed a book from my bag.

She laughed slightly.
"Is that our chemistry book?"
"Yes it is- Chemistry is interesting."
"So that's why you'd rather talk to me than read your interesting book- which is upside- down by the way."
I could feel a faint blush on my cheeks as I quickly looked down at the book again, turning it the right way round. I looked up at her again.
"At least I'm actually doing something other than just sitting there."

"You know what? You're right."
She stood up.
"Hey- what are you doing?"
She simply glanced over her shoulder with a smirk, walking towards the whiteboard.
"If you draw on the damn thing-"
"You'll what?"
She grinned.
"Come and stop me?"

I rolled my eyes.
"Toni, step away from the whiteboard, we're already in trouble."
"She won't mind." she insisted, grabbing a marker.
"The option to come and stop me still stands though."
After looking at her for a few moments, I sighed and stood up, walking over to where she stood.

"Give me the marker."
"Or what?"
"Or we'll get in more trouble. Which means less free time for me. And you."
"You're gonna have to be more convincing than that."
I narrowed my eyes and folded my arms. She just smiled again.

"The teacher isn't gonna care and we can pass the time. It's a win-win."
"You don't know that."
"I've done this before."
"Oh really?"
"A few times."
"Have you had this teacher?"
"Yeahh..."
"That's a lie."

She smiled again, grabbing another marker and handing it to me.
"Come on, I dare you."
I rolled my eyes before turning and drawing a small dash.
"Done. Now give me the markers."
"Oh come on, we can just erase it before she comes back."

I paused for a few moments. Was I actually going to do this? Just because Toni was convincing me to?
"Would you rather draw or read a chemistry book?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Read a chemistry book."
She placed a hand on her hip, a 'yeah-right' expression on her face.

I eventually couldn't help but cave.
"Okay, we can draw. But the moment I think she's coming back I'm erasing everything and you're helping me."
She smiled and turned around to grab a marker before tossing it to me.
"That's the spirit."

Apart from a few witty comments from Toni, silence had pretty much fallen as we filled the whiteboard with various words and drawings. Soft music was coming from Toni's phone and the sun was beginning to set outside. I glanced up at the clock every now and again, very closely keeping track of how much time had gone by.

I was reaching for a random colour without looking, completely unaware of the fact that Toni was reaching for the same one. Our hands brushed and I immediately jumped the slightest bit, turning to look at her. My heart rate began to pick up when she looked over at the same time. I laughed nervously and pulled my hand away, swallowing when she took a small step toward me.

I became aware of the soft music coming from Toni's phone again as she moved closer.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy about the situation. But of course- I couldn't show that.

"Did you feel anything when we kissed? Like- anything at all?" She asked quietly.

Her eyes briefly flicked up to meet mine, clearly searching for some sort of confirmation. I smiled lightly.
"I don't know...did you?"
She paused for a moment.
"Yeah."

I could feel my heart thudding away rapidly in my chest. She moved closer again, placing a gentle hand on my hip.

I couldnt fight the urge to lean forward slightly as my eyes wandered from her arms, to her shoulders, to her eyes and eventually down to her lips.

You won't go when I won't go
Do you know what you're doing to me?

Soon enough our lips were ridiculously close again and I could feel my face growing hotter by the second. The music had become louder.

How can I keep myself away
When I'm falling on for you

"Me too." I whispered, before pressing my lips to hers. She immediately reciprocated, the corners of her lips turning up in a small smile as she slowly moved her hands from my hips up to my hair. I wrapped my arms carefully around her waist.

How do you feel?

My breathing suddenly hitched when Toni lightly bit my lip and I melted further into the kiss. She tasted faintly of vanilla and peppermint, which seem like an unlikely pair but gosh was it breath-taking.

I had only realised that she was slowly backing me against the wall when I heard footsteps coming towards the room. I immediately moved away from Toni with a jolt, grabbing a cloth and quickly erasing as much of our drawings as I could. Toni giggled at my panic, pausing the music before turning her phone off and grabbing another cloth to help me.

The footsteps stopped and I heard two voice conversing. Oh my god; she was talking to another teacher.
"Be quiet." I murmured, narrowing my eyes at her. She simply smirked in response.

As I heard the teacher's conversation come to an end, I threw the cloth on the table next to the whiteboard and raced towards my desk.

"Hi girls- oh, um."

I quickly smiled. She must've seen right through my panicked expression and my messed up hair. Toni on the other hand, seemed completely nonchalant.

"Um, it's been an hour Miss, can we be dismissed now?" I ask hurriedly.
"Yes...you're dismissed."
I smiled again and hurriedly shoved my chemistry book in my bag before speed-walking out the room, Toni following close behind.

"Why do we keep getting caught?" she complained.
"Why do we keep kissing at school is the real question." I responded, fighting back a smile when she laughed.

When I reached my locker, I opened it to grab a few more things before slamming it shut. I was immediately met with Toni's gaze.
"Sooo, we're gonna pretend that didn't happen as well...right?"
She carefully took my hand in hers.

I hesitated, feeling slightly dazed all of a sudden.
"Well.....we could like..."
She raised an eyebrow and I couldn't help but laugh.
"You know....go out..."
"On a date?" she supplied teasingly.
"Yeah, that thing."
"That'd be great."

I smiled and internally cursed my pale skin for showing embarrassment so easily.

"We could go to the cinemas?" She suggested.
"How cliche of you."
"Hey- there's gotta be a reason people do it, right?"
"That's true."
I paused.
"If you come to my house tomorrow we could go to ones near school from there." I said.
"Wow, I've actually been invited this time."

Laughter fell from my lips.
"Watch out for that chihuahua on the way."
She smiled and shook her head.
"Actually- about that. I wasn't actually chased by a chihuahua- I don't even know why I said chihuahua of all dogs- I just wanted an excuse to hang out with you."

"What? You weren't chased down the neighbourhood by a tiny vicious dog and somewhat miraculously ended up at my house as a result?"
"Now that I think about it, that does sound very unbelievable- but can you blame a girl for trying?"
I laughed again.
"Not at all- it was sweet."

She smiled and turned around to grab her bag before taking my hand again.
"We should probably go."
"Definitely."
