"Omg!" a girl in the crowd cried, "Calum, you're my favorite!"
"Calum, have my babies!" another girl yelled.
"Calum, I love you!" another screamed.
There it goes again. I'm always Calum from 5sos. I'm never recognized by my true self. Everyone just believes the lies I've told. They don't know and I hope they never find out.
"Come on, Calum, let's go!" Ashton yelled over the crowd.
"What's up?" I asked after we entered the lobby of the hotel we were staying at.
"Band meeting," Michael replied.
"Even management is here!" Luke exclaimed.
I skeptically raised my eyebrows and sat down next to Ashton.
"Afternoon, boys."
"Afternoon, Eve," we chorused.
"You're probably wondering why I brought you here," Eve said.
I rolled my eyes.
"Of course!" Ashton cried.
"Well, since Calum hasn't had a girlfriend in a while," she said adding a hint of disgust when she said my name, "I decided to give your fans a contest to win a date with Calum.
"What?!" I yelled.
"Lower your voice, Calum," she scolded.
I crossed my arms and slumped in my seat. Eve hates me, and I don't know why.
"Eve, don't you think that that's a little harsh. I mean. you didn't even notify Calum and get his consent before you started this," Luke said. I silently thanked him for standing up for me.
"What's done is done," she retorted turning her face and crossing her arms.
Silence.
"Have a good evening," she smiled before spinning on her heels and sauntering out.
"Erg, how could she do that?!" I yelled about to punch the wall.
"Calm down, Calum," Michael said.
"I still don't understand why she would do this!" I exclaimed lowering my voice a little.
Michael rolled his eyes.
~~~
"Eve called and told me that we are supposed to go to the lobby at 10:00 for a meeting," Ashton said.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "I don't want to go to some stupid meeting about how stupid I am," I mumbled.
"Eve doesn't hate you," Luke told me putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, she does," I replied moving away.
"Come on, mates, let's go," Michael said breaking the awkward silence.
The elevator ride down was silent, dead silent, too silent.
"Good morning," Eve greeted smugly.
I glared at her as the rest of he boys mumbled a hello back.
"Well, I have the contest winner with me, so guys, meet Zelda," she said.
A girl walked out from behind Eve. She was short and shy. She couldn't take her eyes off of the marble floor of the lobby. I rolled my eyes.
"Look up, Zelda," Eve scolded like she was the girl's mother. I wonder how old "Zelda" is.
When she looked up, she was almost pretty. Her brown eyes were covered with thick glasses. Her blonde hair was long and kinda stringy. Okay, maybe in another guy's eyes she would have been pretty, but I have very high standards for a girl. Some of my standards are: blue eyes, dark hair, semi-tall, smart, funny, shy, and sweet. The only standard she met was her shyness.
"Hi," she said softly. She spoke so softly that I could t even tell what accent she had.
"Say hi, Calum," Eve said through gritted teeth.
"Hi," I replied just to make Eve get off of my case.
"I'm Zelda," she said. Yep, she's French. I can tell by the accent.
"I'm Calum," I replied.
She smiled softly.
I will not fall in love with her. I mean, we're only going on one date, what could happen right?
