*Dylan's POV*

It's been a year since I moved to the new pack. I see Jessica and Molly everyday. Molly started looking better after the first month of me being there to help her and now she is back to her normal self. I moved into my new house right across the street and could not love it anymore. It was quiet and peaceful. My routine was pretty basic, I would wake up in the morning and go over to Molly's to eat breakfast then go to my job as a trainer at the gym and then after I was done there I would pick Jessica up from the babysitters, she went there while Molly went to her job as a teacher at the preschool for the pack, and I would make dinner and the three of us would sit down and eat it together.

But today was different, it was Jessica's first birthday. Molly and I had both taken the day off to celebrate and I knew that Molly was upset that Nick was missing his daughter's first birthday. I could see the pain in her eyes and that the smile on her face was forced. I sighed as I wrapped my arm around her. She snuggled in closely and I held her tightly. Over this past year Molly and I grew a whole new relationship. She's like my little sister and I'm her big brother. Jessica calls her mommy and just calls me Dylan.

"Okay let's go to the park," Molly said pulling out of my embrace

I nodded and went upstairs to get Jessica out of her crib. I changed her into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and then we walked downstairs were Molly was sitting waiting with the stroller. I placed Jessica into it and we walked out the door walking towards the park that was located on the pack property.

It was a beatiful park that was perfect for little kids. There was a little pond that had a bunch of ducks and swans that called it their home and a little playground for the older kids. We sat down in the grass right off the sand and we ate our little picnic lunch that we had packed and Molly held Jessica in her lap as they watched the ducks.

"Do you want me to take her to feed the ducks?" I asked knowing that Jessica loved the ducks

Molly nodded and I took Jessica from her and I walked over to the ducks with the bread that we had brought for this special reason. I took a piece and held Jessica's hand in mine as I held it out to a duck and it took a bite. Jessica burst into a fit of laughter and I smiled watching her giggle as the duck kept eating the bread until it was gone. We fed some more before all the bread was gone and then we walked back over to Molly. I held Jessica in my lap as she looked at us.

"I'm going to go for a walk," she said standing up

I nodded and she walked away down the trail that winds it's way through the park I held Jessica close and she giggled as the butterflies fluttered all around us in the breeze. I smiled as she giggled but I couldn't help but wonder what Molly was doing. As I was about to go look for her she came running back down the trail toward us. I could tell something was up and stood up and held Jessica close to my chest as she ran over to meet us.

"Molly what's wrong?" I asked

"I'm not sure but I think I saw Nick running around in the woods," she said looking around us

"What?" I yelled

"Would you keep your voice down?" she said pressing her hand to my mouth "It was a wolf that looked like him and he looked at me with eyes that were the same color and then I just took off running,"

"Come on let's go back to the house," I said grabbing her hand

I placed Jessica in the stroller and pushed it with one hand, keeping the other one grasped tightly around Molly's hand and we walked back to their house quickly. Right as we walked in the door and had closed and locked it behind us the pack sirens started going off, the one that means there's an unidentified wolf in the area.
