Song: Just Be by Paloma Faith

Mekhi POV:

She was right our parents rarely ever argue. I let Meagan leave with Scarlett then walk on into the house. I can hear them screaming at each other and my mom is crying. I knock on their bedroom door.

"Meagan, I said go away dammit." My father yells. He opens the door and sees me instead.

"Meagan is staying with me for the next few nights." I glance into the room to see my mom wiping her face.

"Good." He was about to shut the door but I push it back open.

"Mekhi don't start." He warns me but I am a fucking adult now and I go to make sure she is alright.

"You two never argue. You scared the shit out of Meagan. So what the hell is going on here?"

"It doesn't concern you."

"When my mother is crying it concerns me and does this have anything to do with Scarlett?"

My mom starts crying again and I know he had to have told her the truth about what really happened. I walk all the way into the room and pull her into a hug. "Mom it happened a long time ago. She is fine now."

"You knew....did he tell you?"

"No she did; mom she is fine just don't bring it up in front of her alright."

"I just can't believe everyone has kept this from me all these years. She was my best friend." She cries more.

"I'm sorry it wasn't supposed to happen the way it did but it is what it is and no one can change what happened."

"I'm just so upset with him, I mean how could he?"

My dad yells across the room. "I said I was sorry dammit."

"Look I'm marrying her on Saturday you two have to work this shit out. Nothing and I mean nothing is going to ruin that day for her." I threaten both of them.

I hand my mom a tissue.

"I'm leaving you two to work this out. Meagan will be fine and mom, Scarlett is fine alright just let it go."

When I pull up to the house it seems quite inside but as I go farther into the house I hear laughter. They are all sitting around the table eating pizza.

"We ordered pizza." Meagan smiles ear to ear while jumping up and down. "So mom and dad ok?" she ask.

"They are working on it; they will be fine." I reassure her.

I walk over and kiss Scarlett and grab a slice of pizza. I can't remember the last time I had pizza and it is actually pretty good.

We head upstairs afterwards and tell Meagan goodnight. When we get back to our room I shut the door.

"They were arguing about me; I never should have gone over there. I'm sorry." Scarlett continues talking while going into the bathroom.

"What makes you think they were arguing about you?" I start striping to get into the shower with her.

"Meagan said my name came up. He told her didn't he and that's what they were arguing about?"

She picks up the sponge but I take it away from her. I help wash her down and then start on her hair.

"Yes he told her."

"Is she ok?"

"She will be it was just a shock after all these years you know and besides she's more worried about you."

"Why?"

I stop and look at her. "Because she cares so much about you."

I want to take her now here in the shower but instead I help her dry off then I pick her up and carry her to the bed. I start kissing and nibbling on every inch of her body. She taste so freaking delicious. My hands caress her breast and down to her hips. I pull her into me. I want to go hard but for some reason I decide to just be easy tonight and savory every little inch of her.
