*eight months later*

in the past eight months, mercury has been really depressed but she tries to keep a smile on her face. however, is it enough?

(also the time period for this book is when the boys were on tour w/ khalid and after. i think the farthest i'm going to go is 2019)

Mercury's POV

"what the hell is wrong with you Mercury?", asks Billie, as she busts through my bedroom door.

"i don't understand. what do you mean?", I know what she's trying to ask me but I don't feel like ranting right now.

"Mercury, I am your best friend, I know when your lying. Also because you're the worst liar ever", Billie states while jumping on my bed, still laughing a little from her little "joke"

Let me give you a little insight into what's been going on in my life right quick. Yes, I cheated on Brandon. I know I know, "wtf do you mean you  cheated on him?"  You see, the reason I cheated was because I was getting a lot of hate and I didn't feel like I was good enough for him anymore so I made it seem like I became interested in another guy but, that didn't work. I know that's a pretty shitty reason but, it's the truth. 

"M!" Bille yells as she snaps me out my trance.

"What?" I say

"You're thinking about him again aren't you?" she says sighing

"I can't get him out my head. I keep trying but it doesn't help that I am still in love with him" I tell Billie as she contemplates about what she's about to say.

"Dude, you get over him that easily. He was your first love!" she exclaims 

"Well, it can't help that I want him to be to be my only love!", I shout back at her.

"Oh my god, you're in deeper than I thought," she says as hugs me.
