I know that I lost him. He's not mine. To be honest... he never was. I got to let him go.
"Hey, I'm glad you came" I said as I approached him.
"Yeah... I've been meaning to talk to you" he said as came closer to mean.
"I know that you still love her' I said softly.
"I'm so sorry Char-"
"It's fine... it just wasn't the right time for us, was it?" I ask while looking up at him with tears threatening to fall
"I don't regret being with you. It's just not fair for me to still be in love with someone while I'm stringing you along"
"Hey... look at me. I'll be okay".
"I know you will"
And for the first time in a while... I knew he was going to be happy.
