T o n i - Chapter two
I stare at myself in the mirror as the door bell rings, signaling that the neighbors are here. I look at myself one last time. I had on blue jeans with a white tank and black sandals. My brown hair was pulled up into a bun and I had hardly any makeup on.
"Toni, the Collins are here!" I peek my head out and hear my mother talking with someone as my step dad walks up the stairs and smiles at me. "You look gorgeous." I walk out of my room, closing the door behind me.
"Thank you Dillon." We walk beside each other to the living room. As we reach the doorway I look up and see the Collins family. A man about Dillons age or older stands beside my mom as his wife sits on the couch with two girls sitting beside her.
Two boys lean against the wall on my left as the tallest one looks at me and smiles. I couldnt help but smile back at him. We continue to smile at each other until my mom clears her throat.
"Honey this is the Collins family." I nod my head and smile at them. They all smile back and I couldnt help but feel happy to have them here.
"Im Kirsten." I look at the tall brunette who had the most beautiful eyes. "Thats Karisma." She points to the auburn haired girl that had an amazing smile. "Thats Crawford." She points to a boy with medium length hair. His dimples were the cutest thing ever. I smile at him and look at the last Collin child.
"And im Christian." I look at the boy that had smiled at me when I first walked in. He was the hottest guy I have ever seen. I smile and watch as he smirks at me.
"Im Toni if you dont already know." I say laughing lightly. They all smile back and we head to the dining room for dinner. Im sat between Christian and Karisma, while Crawford and Kirsten sit beside there parents.
We all fill our plates with the food my mother prepared while I was showering and getting ready. I push my food around a little while listening to the conversation my step dad and Mr. Collins were having.
"This is really good. Where did you learn to cook like this?" I look up at Mrs. Collins who was smiling at my mother. She wipes her mouth with a cloth and smiles.
"I travel around places to learn new things with cooking. They taught me things there and my mother was a chef along with my father." Mrs. Collins nods her head and continues eating. Crawford devours his food as Christian eats his slowly.
"So why did you move to Canada?" My step dad chews his food as my mother starts talking again. I just continue starring at my plate and eating every now and then.
"We wanted to move somewhere different and ive been to Canada before so thought why not just move here?" I smirk and sip my water. I could feel Christians eyes on me the whole time.
"Actually my mom just really likes snow and the cold. I prefer warm places like our old home, but I already like it here." Mrs. Collins smiles at me as Mr. Collins speaks up.
"Where did you live before you moved up here?" I finish chewing and wipe my mouth.
"Los Angeles, California." Crawford smiles at me as I finally hear Christian talking for the second time since he has arrived.
"We have an apartment there. Maybe next summer you can join us when we go back down." I look at him and smile, nodding my head.
"That would be amazing." I look back down at my food and continue eating my dinner.
I lean back against my arms while starring up at the sky. The stars were out and there are tons shining bright tonight. I cross my legs and hear a noise behind me. The Collins left an hour ago and I am now sitting on my trampoline alone.
