".. What about 2000 for each" Albert proposed.
"2000? That's it? These are worth much more than that. This is authentic Swarovski. The best kind. I'm not going below 5000 for each piece" I replied putting the ornaments on display.
"How did you even get your hands on those? You didn't buy them that's for sure" Albert scoffed.
I chuckled. "My dearest Albert, you are my best client. By now you already know my sources are none of your business" I replied sassily.
Albert took one of the crystal ornaments in his hand and looked at it from closeby. "Not bad little boy. This stuff is legit. But I'm sticking to my offer. 2000 for each" he said.
"Yeah that ain't gonna work. It's 5000 each no less than that" I said snatching the small sculpture out of his hand.
"How about 2500 each, is that better for ya?" Albert asked.
"4500"
"2750"
"4250"
"3500"
"4000"
"3750 and that's my final offer" Albert snapped, frustrated as he realised I had won this game with him again.
"Okay 3750 each. In cash" I gave him an innocent smile.
Albert grumbled in response as he threw £7500 on the table. I carefully handed him the ornaments and put the money away safely.
"It was nice doing business with you again old friend" I laughed.
Albert frowned his wrinkled face, scoffed and shuffled away.
I grinned at the money I had earned today. I knew what I was doing was probably wrong. I heard it a million times. "Stealing is a serious crime!" But honestly, the people I stole from swam in money, like they would ever care. I earned good money with it, and everyone in Tokyo hotel was jealous of what I could afford.
Yes, I lived in the Tokyo Hotel too, but I was amongst the more fortunate ones. I could afford going to school. My parents payed for school because you needed papers for that. We payed for everything else with the money I earned at the black market. I had been doing it this way for so long my parents didn't even bother to ask where the cash came from anymore. At least I was able to cover up where I lived.
I knew teenagers here who had close to nothing. Jack Duff for an example. He was a nice guy, we had a fling once this summer, but it never quite got more than that. He disgusted me for stealing. So he ended things. Honestly I couldn't care less at that point. At least I had more than 3 outfits in my closet.
I became friends with a guy called Rye at school. At least I was untill some rumors about me and him started. Since then he avoided me. However, I still considered him my friend. I knew he had a rich family, but I'd never rob him. You don't steal from your friend, even I wouldn't do something that vile. He didn't know I stole, and he didn't need to know either. It was my little secret, along with many others.

It was monday again. I dreaded school today. Because going to school would mean I had to confront Ryan. I really didn't know how I'd react to seeing him. No doubt it would be unbearable. I briefly considered skipping school today, but my mum would know I'd be lying and I didn't want to tell her why.
All my life it had always been me and my mum. I never met my dad. My mum said he died before I was born. I didn't really know much about my father, my mum didn't like to bring it up. She said it hurt too much to talk about him. All I knew was his name; William. A long time ago I decided I didn't need him. My mother always took great care of me. My whole life it had been just her and I. So I had no choice.
