Deep down I wanted you to leave.
I felt as though I could finally live in your absence.
My busy schedule kept me distracted,
And texting you almost felt like a burden.
I didn't want to share my life with you anymore.
I didn't want your comforting.
I felt content keeping everything locked away.
Even though your kindness kept knocking the door often.
I never wanted to let you in again.
