They talked about everything and nothing it seemed that night. But one of the major things they talked about was why she called.

"So, you never answered the question. How did you know I wasn't him?" Simon said trying not forgetting that he's talking to a stranger and he shouldn't pry so much.
She laughed awkwardly as she tried to form the words," so it's a long complicated story." She confessed to him.
"Well I have all night like I said there's nothing to do other than fix the buzzing fridge, but I'm not sure I could sleep tonight if I did that. It's been likes this for 3 year. I'm used to it now." He laughed

"3 years, huh? Have you lived in Colorado all your life?" She tried to change the subject because she wasn't quite sure how to explain it. But he saw through it and called her out on it.
"Don't get off subject. I asked a question and you avoiding it is only making me more curious and I won't leave it alone if you don't tell me." He told her.
She shifted uncomfortably on the floor of her apartment," Hold on a second. I'm going to move to the couch because I guess I'm going to be here a long time." She informed him." Ok I'm back, now let me set the Scene I was 16 years old and I had just moved to a new district for School. Which means I had no friends and I was extremely lonely. I went on a chat room to talk to people and most of them were pervs, but I was interested by this one guy. We were just friends. He didn't have many friends either so we were friends. But I had a crush on him and found some unknown courage buried deep inside and told him how I felt about him. It was really scary but when he said he felt the same way I was over the moon. We were off and on for a while because we weren't sure how we would do this, but we finally just said we love each other and want to try it no matter what. Until I dropped off the face of the earth when my parents found out about it. And to answer the question now. I know it wasn't him because he wouldn't have picked up. I tried a couple times but he never answered. So now you know." She said no longer fighting the tears.
He remained silent for as long as he could until he couldn't anymore." I'm sorry." He said as though he was guilty of something.
She wiped her tears from her face." It's okay it wouldn't have worked out anyways. I never really knew him he was probably a real jerk." She said knowing she didn't feel that way but she thought if she said it out loud she might.
" Oh", he said pondering what she just said. " That's good for you he sounds like a jerk anyway."
"Yep", she said trying to remain emotionally content and not get into a rant or ramble of him and what things would be like if she loved him or didn't." Do you want to talk about something else or am I boring now that you know my sad story?"
"Sure, what do you want to talk about?" He asked still a little hung up on her story.
Having something she wanted to talked about obviously she said." I don't care. Whatever you want is fine."
"Well, ok. So, how do you like Colorado so far?" He asked.
"It's beautiful, I haven't gotten to see a lot of it but it very beautiful. I'm hoping to go to the red rock this weekend maybe." She said beaming with excitement.
"That's great you'll have to tell me how that goes. You know I've lived in Colorado my whole life and haven't seen them so I may sometimes soon too." He said and automatically regretting the phrasing." I'm sorry that sounded creepy like I was going to stalk you. That's not what I meant. If you tell me when you're planning on going I'll probably purposely avoid going there because I don't want you to feel threatened or uncomfortable with me."
She laughed so loud,"I knew what you meant. I'm from Kentucky we aren't untrusting there. I'm pretty sure I have a handle on what you are like but thank you for making sure I didn't get the wrong idea about your creepiness." She laughed a little more."
He laugh and began saying something but then someone knocked on his door. " I'm going to let you go enchanting Emmie. Someone is at my door but we should do this again soon."
He stated as he yelled for them to hold on a second.
"Well he thinks he's so sly Simon I'll talk to you whenever. I'm free any night I don't have any friends here yet so. Bye." She said quickly trying not to take up a lot of his time.
You could hear the smile in his voice as he said,"bye."
And then she hung up and fell back in the couch daydreaming about him and developing a small crush. Every man she had ever met that wasn't related to her she had a crush on at one point or another. Though this wasn't anything to be surprised by she didn't like the fact that she was starting to like him that way.
