So Emmie isn't the best at not liking men. She's always daydreamed about them and how things might play out. When she see a cute guy at the checkout at the store and he looked at her. She always daydream and wonder whether they were meant to be. Was she supposed to fall in love with him and live happily ever after. On the outside she was a cynic always mistrusting people's intentions, but deep inside she was a optimist who saw the good in every one. It's just she was hurt by people who took advantage of her innocence and now she is someone who tries to hide her true feelings from everyone. That being said it understandable that she would have feelings for Peter a little still. She let him see the goofy and innocent person underneath. She had a bond with him. He knows things nobody else knows about her, like she secretly like romantic movies and she thinks saying your welcome is arrogant. She was strange and he liked that, but now in his words they're '59 types of over'. Things were complicated in Emmie's head she didn't know how to feel about Peter. Whether to hate him or love him. These are her thoughts as she is working at her desk going through manuscripts of her new clients. Every one that she read was amazing. She wished she could write like that. Though she'll always be grateful that she has a job she enjoys. She was the woman behind the author that helped their work be ten times better. But somewhere deep inside she wished a little, that she was the client and not the help. At the moment though she was still thinking about the fight she had with Peter this morning and how right he was about everything and how he grew into his ears. He has become so hot. Just then her boss walked by giving her a dirty look as she stared off in to the abyss. She realized this isn't a mental conversation to be having at work and tried to look busy.

Later that night after a hard day of work she comes home and flops down of the couch exhausted. When she hears footsteps coming down the hall outside of her door. She quickly hops up from her seat to the door and looks through the peep hole to see who it is. She quickly sees Peter about to head inside when she pops out the door and asks,"Can I talk to you for a second?" He nods as he pulls his keys out of the door standing in the doorway with a bag of groceries. She begins talking, "Sorry about my behavior and the way I acted and especially the things I said. You were ri..." she began but she noticed she didn't have his full attention as he was staring at he feet. She had wonder if he had developed a foot fetish in 7 years.
"You're missing a shoe." He said still staring at her feet. She had been focusing on what she was going to say she hadn't even remembered she had taken it off before she had run out there to talk to him. She quickly took the other one and toss it carelessly into her apartment. Which lead to a sound of glass hitting the floor. She looked at what had broke and decided it could wait.
"I'll get it later, now as I was saying you were right about everything and I had no place to say those things. I was the one throwing a pity party. And I would like to ask for you to accept this apology and maybe come over for dinner tonight just as friends? Of course after I clean up the mess I've made in my apartment without actually being in there. That's a new accomplishment for me." She said a little off track as she stared back at her apartment and then remembered what she was doing and looked at Peter.
He just simply nodded and shut the door. She had suspicions that he was trying to mess with her and was on the other side of the door laughing. She knocked on the door again. It took him a few seconds but he answered. She mimic his face and then waved her hand over her face and smiled. Implying she knew what he was doing. He let out a laugh and smiled so big,"Smarter then I thought. Yes I'll be over in about an hour hopefully you'll be able to clean up the mess by then." She stuck her tongue out then walked into her apartment then walked back out to find him still there.
"Two things she said." With a serious face.
"And what might those be?" He said flirtatiously while he moved his eyebrows up and down.
" Well you're gross, and firstly I need to borrow your broom and secondly can you get this piece of glass out of my foot?" She asked as he finally noticed the carpet had blood on it and her eyes were tearing up from the pain. He picked her up and brought he inside his apartment.
