✧ Connor's Perspective ✧
Two Weeks Later"Hold the fuck up," Hank nearly shouts, puzzled. He reads the information on his computer frantically. "An android kidnapped a child? What the fuck?" he says to himself in disbelief. He turns to look at Connor, who is just staring at Hank blankly.
"It must've been a deviant," says the android.
"Well, no shit. Why would a regular working android kidnap a child, Connor? Especially a Goddamn housemaid," he sighs, leaning back against his chair. He closes his eyes, rubbing his face. "All these deviant cases are stressing me out."
"Hank, we are making no progress with our investigations. Let's at least investigate this one?" Connor insists, leaning forward on his desk to get closer to Hank. "It all happened yesterday too."
Hank hums in response, eyes still closed.
Connor gets up, walking around his desk to get to Hank's. He sits on Hank's desk and tilts his head to the side. "What's the deviant's name?" he questions the stressed out man in front of him.
Hank sits up with droopy eyes. He clicks on the file and reads out loud, "the model is an AX400, #579 102 694. The child's father said that the android suddenly came up to them and took her away." He explains.
"Strange," Connor mutters.
Out of nowhere, Hank groans loudly. "The asshole is here," he says in a low voice, in which only Connor can hear.
Connor turns his head to see Gavin, who is walking towards the both of them with a cup of coffee. That kind of ticks the poor android off, but he remains calm and steady.
"What are you doing here, asshat?" Hank spits out, glaring at the man in front of him.
Gavin stops in his tracks and gives Hank a weird look. "Going to work. What the hell do you think, dumbass?" he spits back, gripping tightly onto his coffee in irritation.
They both send each other the most deadliest glare possible, but the android interrupts.
"We need to leave now," Connor speaks up, getting off of Hank's desk. He faces Gavin, who has complete fire in his eyes. Connor is not going to waste his time watching two men argue over nothing. "Let's go, Hank," he says, walking pass Gavin.
Hank slowly gets up from his chair, pushing himself up and following Connor, not forgetting to send Gavin another glare.
"Prick!" Gavin yells from across the room, but Hank just laughs out loud and sticks his tongue out before leaving.
✧ Your P.O.V. ✧
"K-Kara?" I stutter out, gripping tightly onto the hem of my shirt. My eyes slowly catches Kara's, and I kind of flinch in my spot. "Can I ask you something?" I whisper, looking down at my feet.
Kara places the dish she just washed on the rack, and she turns to me. "What is it, Y/N?" she replies with the sweetest and gentlest tone. I look up to see her smile, and that just makes me even more nervous.
Kara is the android Mom ordered for me. At first, I was extremely uncomfortable around Kara. I would avoid her as much as possible, like locking myself in my room for hours on end. Mom would even scold me from the other side of the door while delivering my lunch or something.
"I ordered this android for a reason, Y/N, and that is to help you overcome this damn fear! Now open the door and say hi!" she said.
I kept on denying and denying until one day I decided, "let's go get a snack" because I forgot the android existed for a moment.
