As the sun went down, Madison still found herself sitting in her room. She had hoped that, if she were going, then she would have left by now. She was hoping the excitement from the trip would be enough to keep her awake and the nightmares at bay. Instead, Madison grabbed a novel off of her shelf and began to read.

More and more she read, but more and more tired she grew with every turn of the page. Her eyes kept wanting to close and sleep kept calling out to her, trying to draw her in. She wanted to tell it to bippity boppity back the fuck up, but that never really works, now does it?

Twelve foot tall hedges surrounded her. She was in a maze. The maze. Madison sprinted down the only available pathway and took a turn, then another turn, and another before she ended up in a sort of field.

On the other side, she could see him. Cedric.

"Madison?" he called to her.

"Its me!" she shouted back before breaking out in a sprint to the boy. He sprinted towards her.

Just before they reached one another, something reached out and attached itself around Madison's ankle, pulling the ground from beneath her feet. She crashed to the hard ground before looking down at what had her. Vines started slithering their way towards her. She tried tugging them off, but they tightened even more. She looked over to where Cedric had been only to see him suffering the same problem.

"Cedric!" she called beginning to crawl towards him, fighting against the strong pull of the vines.

Cedric followed suit, fighting off the vines pulling at his feet.

"Take my hand!" he shouted, extending his hand towards her.

Madison reached out as she crawled closer. With every inch she crawled, more vines began attaching themselves to her body. One particularly large one, clasped tightly around her waist while others pulled at her arms.

"Just a little further," Madison said, extending her arm as far as physically possible.

Madison's fingers just barely brushed with Cedric's before a dozen vines attached themselves at once to her body and jerked her back, dragging her against the ground, away from Cedric as his vines pulled him away. The vines that had ahold of Madison pulled her and pulled her until she hit the tall maze walls.

More and more vines grabbed at her body, pulling her into the hedges. On the other side of the field, Cedric grabbed his wand and casted a spell that disintegrated the vines. He jumped up from the ground and began sprinting towards Madison as she was being pulled deeper into the maze wall. As he was running, a dark figure appeared. They pulled out their wand and a high pitched voice screamed, "AVADA KEDAVRA!" and a bright beam of light shout out of the end of his wand. The spell knocked him out of his path where he lay cold and dead.

"NO! CEDRIC!" Madison screamed as the maze finally pulled her within.

It was dark inside the maze and the vines didn't stop pulling at her, as though it weren't enough she was trapped in here while the dark figure was still out there.

Suddenly a voice started calling for her.

"Madison! Madison wake up!" The maze walls began to shake and the smell of strawberries filled Madison's nose.
