They were about halfway through a Led Zeppelin song when they checked the time. If they wanted to get back to their common rooms safely, then they needed to start moving people out now. The younger students were escorted out in groups to avoid suspicion and the older students hung around to help with the cleanup.
It didn't take long before Madison was standing alone in the room of Requirement with Fred.
"You ready?" Madison asked him, gesturing to the door.
"Not quite," Fred said, setting her gifts onto a nearby table.
"What are you doing?" Madison asked.
"You'll see," Fred said as he went over to the radio. He pressed play and music flooded the room once more.
"May I have this dance?" Fred asked, extending his hand to her.
"Yes," Madison said, accepting his hand. He pulled her into his chest and she rested her head on his shoulder.
I must have been through about a million girls
I'd love 'em then I'd leave 'em alone
I didn't care how much they cried, no sir
Their tears left me cold as a stone"Is this?" Madison began to ask, but Fred was already nodding.
"The song from the party. I thought we could dance to it again. This time without a crowd," Fred said into her ear.
"I like not having a crowd. How'd you figure out what song it was? Madison said, tangling her fingers into the hair on the nape of Fred's neck.
"I asked Mallory and after she called me an 'uncultured swine,' she told me the song title."
"Sounds about right," Madison chuckled.
But then I fooled around and fell in love
I fooled around and fell in love, yes I did
I fooled around and fell in love
I fooled around and fell in loveFred got a little bolder as he pulled Madison closer, nuzzling his face into her neck. He smirked and gave her a small peck on her neck.
Madison blushed. "I'm really glad we stayed behind."
"Me too," Fred said before smirking, "of course, I like any chance to be with you."
"I like being with you too."
It used to be when I'd see a girl that I liked
I'd get out my book and write down her name
Ah, but when the, the grass got a little greener over on the other side
I'd just tear out that page"Fred you really didn't have to do all of this," Madison said, looking up into his eyes, "I would have been perfectly content with just sitting around with you and George today."
"Did you not like the party?" Fred asked, his voice hurt.
"No Fred," Madison said quickly. "It's not that. I loved the party. I just didn't deserve all of this."
"Don't say that," Fred said, cupping her face in his hands.
I fooled around and fell in love
I fooled around and fell in love, since I met you baby
I fooled around and fell in love
I fooled around and fell in love"You deserved it. You really did," Fred said, his voice genuine.
A tip of the chin and everything would change. Just one slight movement. Just one. And as she stared into Fred's eyes, she asked herself, was she ready? Was it time? Did she deserve this?
