"Love, Thy Dying Sparrow"

Darkness rose and killed the sun

What was mine is now all gine

I was a one-winged sparrow

Soaring through the depths of sorrow

Lights that shone are now alone

Their brightness dying on their own

I soared endlessly and terrified

Seeing spots of red,oh,defied!

Searching,O,Searching!

Why aren't the skies clearing?

Pain and misery subsided me

An eternity forever searching thee

My beloved wing tore apart

The promise of search I depart

I dove down into a deep fold

My feathers and bones shattered and old

Circles of oceans I drew

Instruments of murder, how the wind blew

The violent wind took my heart

All my emotions torn apart

I crashed down the ground

Now barely hearing my heart pound

Sewed-shut eyes fighting to see

My bloody hands finding thee

Storms may rage on to bring me out

Earthquakes may come to break my route

Nothing can ever stop me

From seeing you for eternity

Now that I am slowly slipping away

I know I cannot stand not seeing you for even a day

My soul will perish without your soul

My heart would lose its role

Just before I fade away

I ask you,hear what I say:

"Keep your promise and never let go

Of your old promise when I was low

Love me so from above and below."

Sorry for this recycled poem I wrote for my English assignment last year! This is dedicated to all those shattered people out there. Smile and never give up! :)
