Monday starts, we're all back in our rooms. Duke Kilter is in the hospital wing, but since all this stuff happened he has canceled our finals. So we pretty much have nothing to do until the End of the Year banquet. Which, when you have nothing to do tends to come quickly. We have one week until the End of the Year banquet.

I hear a knock at my dorm room door. I go over and open the door. I see Toby standing there. I smile at him.

“Hey, I heard that someone here named Hazel had nothing to do. I came to keep her company,” he says.

“You must've heard right. I'll go get her,” I say.

He smiles. I turn around and go to get a sweater. I hurry back and close the door behind me. Toby takes my hand and we hurry down the hall to the back door, near the woods. We go out and down to the dock by the lake. I see lunch set up on a picnic blanket. He really likes to do this to me.

I smile. “You really like this spot don't you?”

“Definitely. I kind of like you too,” he says.

            I playfully shove him over.

            “I never would've guessed.”

We go over and sit down next to each other. We eat sandwiches, and dessert. We finish eating and I lean against his chest, basking in the sun. This day is just so perfect. Well, almost. It would be especially perfect if Toby and I were at his palace. I look up at him and see his eyes sparkling and shifting for green to blue and back. He leans down and lightly presses his lips against mine. I feel a slight tug in my stomach. It’s a weird sensation, but I like it. I don't know how long we kiss, but it seems to last forever.

The week has gone by so fast. At this point, I'm in with the seamstresses picking out a pattern for my dress tomorrow. It's the End of the Year banquet, and it lasts all day. I finish picking out the pattern and head back to my dorm. I get stopped in the hallway by Toby.

            “Hey,” he says, kissing me.

            I giggle. “Hey.”

“I figured since there was only one day left till the End of the Year banquet, we should hang out today.”

“Toby, there will be one month between you and me seeing each other again. I think you'll survive.”

He gasps playfully. “I can't believe you would even suggest a thing. I shall not survive, nor live, I shall die without you!”

“You are the weirdest person I've ever met,” I say.

He pokes me. “I learned from the best.

I laugh. Then think about what he said for a second. “Hey!” I yell hitting him.

“Sorry. I couldn't resist,” he says.

“You'll to better to resist next time,” I say, giving him an evil glare.

            “Okay,” he says smiling.

He leans down and kisses me on the lips lingeringly.

“Okay. I forgive you,” I say giggling.
