1956

"Children I would like you all to meet someone, now don't be shy", the ymbrynes had a small figure behind her. After sometime the girl let go of the head mistress dress and step next to her.

"Hello", she kept her head down and placed down her suit case. "Well go on they won't bite, why don't you tell them your name", the ymbrynes encouraged the girl.

"My name is Thomas", the introduce herself before looking back down on her blue dress to play with the fringes.  Silent whispers were everywhere while the other children talked.

"Is she the girl from Horace's dream", was the one that stuck out the most. "Okay now don't be strangers to Thomas, we will be right back", she took her hand and brought her to the office.

"Miss Peregrine, I don't think they like me", Thomas continued to wrinkle her dress thinking about her last loop "That's nonsense dear, they just haven't had someone new visit. Why don't you sit down", the ymbrymes told her.

"Thomas you understand that you are peculiar yes? The other children are no different, no one here will ever hurt you under my protection",she kneed down to the girl wiping away her tears. "Everyone here has there roles and chores. Do you have anything in mind to do", Thomas nodded.

"I would prefer to clean and not use 'it' ever", Miss Peregrine understood the girl. "You can help out Victor he usual goes around cleaning despite his peculiarity. You two would make wonderful friends", she smiled at her.

"Your room will be next to Emma's, I'll show you", she held Thomas' hand again leading the way through the big house. "Thank you Miss Peregrine", she said as she left the room. "It is no problem, now I think they are all outside why don't you go too" she gave her a little encouragement as Thomas made her way.

September 3, 1943 was a very nice day, it wasn't to hot nor cold at the moment. Simply a hazy summer day before the fall. Thomas looked around seeing all the children were in groups playing with each other. As she passed by all of them threw hellos and asked if she wanted to join. She had came around the offer but wanted to explore.

Thomas made her way to a tree where a boy no older than sixteen was fiddling with something in his hands. "What are you doing?", she asked him out of curiosity. "It has nothing concerning of you", the pale boy said with an slight english accent focusing on his work. So, she sat down in front of him as another girl came.

"Hullo", the girl with blonde curls greeted Thomas. "Enoch can you play with the dolls with us again", the girl wined. "Claire you remember what happened last time", the boy, Enoch, softly snapped at her. "Okay but can you make it dance", Claire pointed at the clay doll in his hands.

"Make it dance?", Thomas was confused at the whole encounter. "Yes that's my peculiarity.", the boy stated, "Just watch".

"Okay", he gave in to the little girl and pressed a heart into the clay doll and whispered into it. It popped into life and started dancing and hoping around causing the girls to giggle. Enoch smirked at his work and got a good look of the girl in front of him. She was cute she would have stole a lot of hearts when she grew up. Which was now unlikely being stuck in the loop. But, Enoch just shook his head at the thoughts and the new peculiar.

"Thank you Enoch", Claire hugged him before running back to the other children. Enoch was slightly satisfied that it had last longer than usual."Your peculiarity is interesting", Thomas complimented him. "It's more useless than anything, bringing things where they should not be anymore or shouldn't be in the first place", he brushed her comment away.

"No it's not you give a moment of life", Thomas blocked him and picked up a dead flower. She closed her palm, Enoch looked at her small palm curious what she was trying.

When she reopened her palm there was a fresh flower back in it's place. Both of them watch in shock and curiosity if what happened. "What is your peculiarity?", he questioned as he picked up the flower from her.

"I don't know", she focus on the flower but, it had wilted into dust just as fast in his hands.

"It's almost dinner. My name is Enoch O'Conners, I'm a dead-riser, forever stuck 16 ", he put another flower into his breast pocket before giving her a hand up and gave her whatever information he needed.

"I'm Thomas Fincher, I don't know what I am. Forever stuck 15 I guess", she introduced herself back. Enoch found a pull to this Thomas Fincher, a person who had a peculiarity close to his.

Everyone took there place in the dinning table. Enoch pulled up a chair in-between him and Olive, giving it up to Thomas. Some of the other children helped strapping a girl to her chair, while clothes were floating. Thomas sure hoped those clothes were a person and not a ghost. A slightly scrawny, handsome fellow sat across of her and gave her a warm smile which she returned. Getting a few heated stares from Enoch to his best mate and the new girl.

"Children I trust everyone behaved well", Miss Peregrine smirked. "Did everyone introduce themselves to Thomas yet", she gave the rest of the children a push.

"Hello name's Victor, I'm as strong as ten men", the boy in front of her said and flexed his arms getting giggles from the table. "I'm Bronwyn and I'm strong as eleven men", she held her head up high. " Hugh and bees live in me", the boy rubbed his stomach. "My name is Fioana, I guess I have my way with earth", the red head blushed looking at the massive carrots in there stew. "Horace", a blonde boy tipped an imaginary hat. "I'm Millard, and I'm invisible", and Millard actually tipped his hat. "They are the twins and I'm Emma, I'm lighter than air ", a girl with big blue eyes introduced the pair. "I am Olive, I'm a pyrokinesis", the red head with a pair of rubber gloves gave her a warm smile. "I am Claire and I have a back mouth", Claire smiled. "Well a beauty needs to protect herself yes", Thomas smiled back. "And you already know me", Enoch yawned.

"So Tim, what is your peculiarity? Where was your loop before", Victor asked her giving her another smile.

"Victor we do not talk about the past nor future, just now", Miss Peregrine gave them a smile.

"Sorry", Victor hanged his head down. "No don't be sorry, I don't understand my peculiarity very much. I was in America before this", Thomas smiled pushing the past away.

"Enoch if you keep staring you will shoot Victor", Horace teased while Enoch scruffed while Victor laughed.

"Children, movie time", Ms. Peregrine announced before something rude came out of Enoch's mouth. She went somewhere else as the rest of the children headed a different direction. Horace jumped out of his seat and went to the parlor. Thomas didn't know where to go but, Enoch stayed behind then grabbed her wrist leading her where everyone else did.
