Keith sighed tiredly as he sat back in his chair. He kicked off his shoes to free his swollen feet. He groaned at the thought of having to get up to cook for himself, but he needed to eat. Not that he wanted to. He had to. Looking down at his pregnant belly, patting it gently.

"I'll get something to eat, just let me relax for a bit." He said before grunting when he got a hard kick against his ribs. "Ouch! I said I'll eat. Let me rest. I worked all day. I need to just rest my feet!" He scolded. He sighed, Keith hated his particular job. He worked as a waiter in a shitty run-down bar, the only place that would allow or accept an unmated pregnant omega to work for them. Every other place he went to turned him away immediately. So he was stuck in a one bedroom apartment, barely big enough for him. He sighed, rubbing his stomach slowly. "I'm sorry I got us into this. I'm sorry, I don't know who your dad is... I should've stayed in that day, I shouldn't have gone out to the bar with everyone." He said softly. "But at least I get you out of it... I won't leave you, I promise. I'll love you more than myself. Even if I don't find a mate, or even get one to mate me." He said, looking at his stomach.

"Keith! I'm coming in!" Allura called, unlocking the door. She opened it and carried in bags of groceries. "I brought some fresh veggies and food!" She said, opening his fridge beginning to fill it up.

"Allura, you don't have to do this..." he said softly, slowly getting up and holding his stomach.

"It's the least I can do. I can't help but feel responsible for this. I convinced you to come out that night." She said, turning to look at him. "Besides, you need fresh and healthy food. Reheated fast food or instant meals are not good for you!" She half scolded, putting in the last of the food in his small fridge.

"Thank you, Allura... It means a lot." He said softly.

"Have you eaten yet?" She asked. He shook his head.

"No, I didn't have much to cook. I was just going to have a sandwich again." Keith shrugged, Allura frowned.

"Come on, change into some decent clothing. I'm going to take you out to eat." She said.

"What about Lance? Doesn't he get irritated when you take me out?" He asked.

"Oh, he'll live. Besides, he's lightened up since he found out you were pregnant." She said. "Now change!" She ordered. Keith nodded, knowing he wasn't going to win with her and changed into a loose t-shirt and maternity jeans that Allura gifted him.

"Okay, I'm ready." he said, stuffing his wallet and phone into his pocket. Allura smiled and linked arms with him, walking them out to her car.

"So... Any luck on finding out who the dad is?" She asked as they buckled up.

"No, but I remember what he smells like. His looks are still kinda fuzzy. I remember some white hair, maybe tanned skin. I'm not sure it was kinda dark and really big muscles." He said softly. He wasn't lyin. Hee remembered their scent. He smelt like a forest and vanilla. Warm and inviting, but also strong. He sighed softly, rubbing his stomach. "I don't think I'll ever find him... I'm okay on my own, you know I always have been. Even with a baby." He said softly. Allura sighed, resting her chin in her palm. She knew Keith wasn't going to budge unless he knew for sure that whoever the Alpha was-was, in fact, the father.

"Well, if you ever want someone to fill in the space, I know a few single Alphas who can father the child." She offered as she drove to a restaurant. Keith shook his head.

"You know how Alphas get. If it's not their child, they'll despise them. Maybe even kill them. It's happened before. I won't take the risk of an Alpha mating me and then refusing my child." He said firmly. Allura nodded. She couldn't deny just how awful so many Alphas were towards children that weren't their own. "You're lucky, you have Lance. You don't have to worry about him hating your kid. He's a beta. He's happy you chose him." He said.
