It's All an Act

    It wasn't supposed to happen this way. He wasn't supposed to enjoy kissing him, he wasn't supposed to end up in the same bed as him. Not like that anyway. He wasn't supposed to like holding his hand or hugging him or cuddling him or sleeping next to him or the love notes or the way he pushed the hair out of his face just to kiss him... Or the way he sincerely said 'I love you'.

                                    Keith was NEVER supposed to fall in love with Shiro.

   That being said... The whole relationship was a sham. Keith was the head of the junior 'pranksters' at the academy, and Shiro was the stern, iron fist, by the book, follow the rules senior class president. Everyone that was an underclassman hated him pretty much. Especially Keith. Shiro was always the one to rat him out or be the one to punish him. So the ultimate prank on the dick who always gets him in trouble? (Though in reality it's Keith's lack of self control and poor decision making that gets him in trouble) Keith was gonna make Shiro fall in love with him then reject him AND humiliate him in front of the entire school when the last assembly came around. Why this prank?  Because it came around that Shiro was in fact gay, and guess what?? So was Keith, so the solution to getting revenge on Shiro permanently? Humiliating him in front of the whole school.

    What wasn't supposed to happen was the cute dates, Shiro being so gentle... And so different from his ex's. Shiro wasn't supposed to open up to him, Keith wasn't supposed to either. Shiro wasn't supposed to know his own mother abandoned him before he could ever meet her, or that he lost his father when he was young and was in the system until he found a group home with Kolivan. Shiro wasn't supposed to accept him so warmly, he wasn't supposed to understand, kiss his  forehead, and hold him until he stopped crying. What further surprised him was the amount of scars Shiro had. There were too many to count, and yet... Shiro explained what happened almost every single one... Keith shouldn't have kissed  Shiro afterwards. Then they wouldn't have had their first time, Keith wouldn't have discovered how compatible they were. How gentle Shiro was unless Keith asked... and Shiro would've never told him he was beautiful. He could still hear it ringing in his ears.

   Keith panted heavily as he relaxed around Shiro, tilting his head back catching his breath. Shiro was way bigger than expected, so big that it felt like he couldn't breathe. Keith shifted his face so his hair would cover his face. Then he felt Shiro's hand on his cheek.

   "Sorry, that was too quick... It just felt so good, I couldn't stop." Shiro said chuckling slightly before leaning down to kiss him softly. Shiro sighed and moved Keith's hair from his face. "You're beautiful like this?- I mean... You're always beautiful, but right now. Only I can see you like this." he whispered before kissing Keith again.

     Keith regretted this stupid prank, he hated the idea now. Shiro wasn't some stick in the mud snitch, well he kinda was... But, he wasn't just that. Shiro was so loving, understanding, caring, thoughtful and so sweet. He thought this would be easy and he'd hate Shiro more from this prank. But now he was in some sort of cliche romance movie and he fell in love instead. At first he was at Shiro's football games, academic competitions, and space exploration tours ironically. He'd laugh at the first events, because he wasn't into any of it. But... The Space Cadet tour/orientation Shiro just lit up and was way too close to Keith, and Keith could smell how good Shiro smelt, how warm he was, how deep his voice was... Then in the moment, under the projected Milky Way galaxy he kissed Shiro. Now he was three months in and way too invested in the relationship. He was going to call it all off and dump Shiro, but of course Shiro had to be the fucking sweetheart he was. He had to, HAD TO give him a damn promise ring. A perfect little silver band ring with a violet stone 'because it reminded me of your eyes', is what Shiro said. Keith couldn't- correction- wouldn't say no to him. Instead he accepted and kissed him passionately. Now he was in bed looking up at Shiro, laying on his chest memorizing his face. In two weeks he'd be ruining Shiro's peaceful sleep. He was going to break his heart, Shiro's big warm heart... Who introduced him to the most amazing people; Pidge always understood Keith's mood, someway some how, Hunk always was happy to see Keith and ALWAYS offered him food during school, (except Lance who always fought with him, but actually loved Keith and Shiro together AND the creator of the ship name Sheith).
