It's been several weeks since Jake and Andrew became friends. Jake's mother now trusts Andrew enough to come inside the house. A few more weeks, and he can sleep over. He knows she's just being cautious, so he obeys, and makes sure they know Jake is safe with him. There have been a few times where Andrew and Jake have fallen asleep on the couch while watching movies or talking. Even though Jake's mom thinks it's sweet how Jake finally has a friend. She doesn't want to let her guard down.

One day, Jake's parents had to go to a meeting for their jobs. His mother called Andrew and asked if he could stay with Jake, and make sure he's safe. "Listen...I know you're not his father, and I know this could be too much to ask..but I don't want to leave him alone. And he loves having you around, so...just until 3 am. Please Andrew?" Andrew had a huge smile on his face. And he knew his cheeks were bright red. "That is no problem at all, I will stay as long as you need me to. If it means I gain your trust with Jake, I'll do it." Andrew felt his heart pounding in his chest. Finally, some time to spend with Jake without being cautious with his words. "Lovely. And yes, this will gain all of my trust. Come over as soon as you can." They hung up. Andrew leaped to his feet, and ran to his closet. He felt the stupid big smile on his face, and the ace in his cheeks from the excitement. He put on the shirt that Jake like the texture of. And the shoes that glimmer so that Jake can see the light. And he put on the cologne that Jake loves. He made sure not to straighten his hair, so Jake could feel the small curls. And he didn't wear jeans.

He ran out his door, not taking notice to his drunk dad on the couch, and ran the four blocks to Jake's house. He knocked 4 times, the agreed amount to let them know it's him. Jake's dad greeted him, and told him that they had to leave now. "Jake is right upstairs, he doesn't know you're coming so, this is a surprise to him. We'll see you when we get back." Jake's parents go out the door, and Andrew watched as they quickly drove away. Andrew slowly crept up the stairs and to Jake's door. Inside, he could hear him quietly humming to himself. He was humming the song that Andrew told him about. The song that saved his life when he was down. Andrew wanted to sit and listen forever, but he wanted to hug Jake, so he slowly opened the door. "Mom? I thought you left.." Jake questioned. "She did." Andrew couldn't speak without smiling. He always smiled around Jake. "A....Andrew?" Jake slowly stood, and walked towards the voice. Andrew pulled him into a tight hug. Jake felt the familiar softness of the black and white sweater he loves. He could smell the soft scent of the boy he loved. "Andrew! I didn't know you were coming! I would've dressed better..." Jake smiled and pulled back, keeping his hands on Andrews shoulders. "You're fine, you look perfect. I'm here until your parents get back. I promise." Andrew knows Jake trusts him, but it's kind of their thing to say "I Promise" when they saupy they will do something.

Two hours go by. They have decided to lay out on Jake's roof, and Andrew I'd telling Jake about the stars. "To sum it up...the stars is what I see in someone's eyes. They are the brightest one could see next to the moon. And they are used to describe someone who has done amazing things." Andrew smiled, and looked at Jake's face. He could tell Jake caught on to what he was saying. "Y...you said it was something you see in someone's eyes....whose eyes?" Andrew smiled. "Someone very special to me. Someone...someone who I could spend every minute with." Jake sat up. "Who Andrew. Who is it?" Andrew slowly sat up, and looked at Jake in his clear brown eyes. Andrew grabbed Jake's hand, and sat close to him. "Andrew...?"
