"I've got what you've wanted" Trisha said after she opened the door to the room that you're checked in. She shows you a familiar old journal and the key that Jane treasures with her own dear life "I still cant believe she did this to you. Calling you over to her home and use you as a sacrifice. Thats really creepy"
Of course, You and Sofia told them a whole different story. A story you both made up without including the 'ink demons' thing since the police wont believe them if they told the exact story, so...yeah.
Sofia also burned the book of sacrifice to prevent this from happening again. Not wanting for you to be hurt again. "Are you ok now? How about your asthma?" She asked as she sat down at the chair just beside the bed. "Im fine now." You shot her a reassuring smile before grabbing Jane's journal that she kept dearly. "Let's see what she's hiding..." you whispered and slowly unlocks the journal.
.....
........
Drawings
And words that you cannot read properly thanks to how old the paper was.
There are also pentagons and a whole bunch of '6' written all over the page and it creeps you out but still keeps on skimming through
"What seriously is this? junk?" Sofia commented, not looking impressed. You quickly shut her up by glaring at her then went back to scan through the pages even more. You kept on skimming through until you stumbled upon an old picture.
A picture of a man and a little girl, both smiling happily in the image.
You hummed, lifting it off from the journal to take a closer look of it. Sofia hummed, a frown written over her face "so it belongs from a girl, who's mentally insane, tried sacrifing her best friend to ressurrect his own father while protecting her oh-so-beautiful key to her journal that keeps her picture with her own father-- maybe her grandpa--"
"Seriously, Sofia, shut up" you finally stopped her blabbering. She quickly stopped, showing you a sheepish smile then finally sealed her mouth shut.
You turned to the next page then saw a letter. You cannot read it because of how old and sloppy the handwritings are. It somehow pissed you off but you can only read out 'My dear Jane' and 'sincerely yours,---'
Now you cant read whom the sender of this letter was. What a bummer
Just in time for the door to open, your parents and other friends coming inside with smiles on their faces. You smiled back at them, thanking them for coming all the way here to visit you "You lived, girl" Cynah chirped happily, walking up to you while beaming her smile proudly. You rolled your eyes with a giggle "of course! I cant die that easily~!"
"Must be good to have a fighting spirit you have" Trisha simply commented, arms crossed with a small smile on her face. "Just like our good ol' (y/n) back from our childhood days" Cynah started, starting to dig into their past again. It only made you whine, glancing to Trisha; who did nothing but to join into the conversation. "I agree. She would always put herself in harms way just to help someone! Remember that day with a dog/cat?"
"Ah that, yeah I do! (Y/n) was so cool that time!"
"Oh stop it now!!" You whined in embarrassment while your parents smiles in the background.
You all start to catch up from the days you've missed, smiles written all over your faces while the journal is hidden underneath the pillow. To prevent them to ask more questions.
~×♡×~
"You sure its ok to visit this place again?" You asked, looking pretty unsure whether to head inside the old workshop again or not, seeing the familiar yellow tapes that tells the people to not enter the facility.
Sofia frowned "why are you hesitating now? Its only been a month now and I know you misses him the most" she quickly smirked as if to tease you. You blushed, quickly hitting her head with your hand before crossing your arms in disbelief "oh shut up now, Sofia. Things happened" The two of you chuckled, eyes staring at the old workshop across the two of them while the sun sets behind.
Thinking back from those days again, many things really did happened and you didnt expect them to be that interesting and bizarre. Yet you didnt regret it, not at all. Meeting that 'Sammy' really did scared the shit out of you but you cannot deny that you're thankful to meet all of the ink cartoons in the workshop. It made you really happy, somehow thanks to Jane...
Ah, Jane....
She must be so lonely and got even more worst when her father passed away. You felt bad for her but you know she's already with her father up in the skies and that truly made you smile
"(Y/n)?"
"Hmm?"
"You're grinning. Its weird, you're creeping me out, you know?" Sofia commented, quickly shooting her a glare then chuckled "whatever. Im heading in." You finally start walking your way towards the familiar wooden door. Sofia didnt even stopped you and just remained in her spot, a soft smile written on her face.
You suddenly stopped then turned back to face Sofia again "I suddenly remembered,"
"Hmm?"
"Why did you suddenly went inside to check the workshop??" This quickly got you curious, only making her grin mischievously. "I dont know!~☆ maybe some cool author requested to put me in the book?~" she grinned from ear to ear, making you widen your eyes
"Oi, dont you dare break--"
"Im just kidding!~ I heard a loud noise inside and I cannot ignore that once it spikes up my own curiousity. You know my lil' habits~" she finally answered you. You hummed in understanding then continued walking to the door again "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow then!" You waved at her.
"Enjoy your stay, (y/n)!" Sofia lastly replied before walking off to her own destination. You smiled excitedly as you reach out to the door knob.
It makes you wonder on what will happen in the future ahead of you,
Will there be another pack of surprise that can put you in another danger again...
Or just a normal life with your new found friends?
