Charmed & Dangerous

Chapter Nine: For Roni's sake.

Veronica's POV

So, it's been two weeks since Aaron and I went of our first date we had three dates since then tonight will be our fourth.  It's also been two weeks since Franny warned me about her vision of me being attacked by a demon with the power of fire. I was very cautious when she first told me, so i agreed to have Gray spy on me and Aaron on our first date but nothing happened and  it's been two weeks. I honestly think that Franny's vision was just a false alarm. Anyway's i'm waiting for Aaron to pick me up he should be here any minute  now we're going to this amazing new restaurant that just opened up around where Aaron lives. I walk down stairs to see Nessa talking to Gray, it's very distant so i don't know what they're talking about. Nessa stops talking to gray when she sees me.

"Hey Roni!!!" Nessa shouts, "I have an important quest-" she pauses. "Why are you all dressed up??" She questions.

I suppose i was a little dressed up i had on a long lace black dress with a jean jacket, and black heels on with rose gold bracelets and necklace.

"I'm going on a date," I reply, "With Aaron."

After saying that i could feel Nessa and Gray examining me, kind of feel like they were judging me. But maybe i'm just making that up in my head.

"You really should told us you and Aaron were seeing each-other tonight, Roni." Nessa says in a concerning tone.

"Well, quite frankly i don't have to report every little thing in my dating life to you guys, okay." I snap back.

"You do when your life is danger." Gray adds.

"Guys, I get that you care for me i really do and I care for you guys too but you can't keep monitoring my relationship with Aaron like i'm so nine year-old child." I argue.

"Were just trying to keep you and Aaron safe...You're forgetting he is still our innocent." Nessa replies.

"Well, he's more than just out innocent Nessa now he is someone that i'm in a serious relationship with and I want it to feel that way i'm tired of magic ruining every good thing in my life."  Which was true for the record magic had ruin every normal or good thing that has happened to us since we found out were witches. It ruins work, free time, friendships and most importantly relationships. Can i just have one serious relationship with a guy without constant worry that either him or I is going to get killed by a demon from the underworld and minute. 

Nessa opens up her mouth to speak but she is cut off by the ringing of the doorbell. I go to open up the door and it's Aaron with a bouquet of white daisies. I grin widely at the sight of his precious face, there's one thing magic got right was puting us to together. 

"These are for you." Aaron says handing me the bouquet.

I grab them and sniff them. "They smell amazing." I say trying not to smile like a complete idiot but i can't help it he's just too amazing. I put the bouquet on a desk in the living room a go outside with Aaron.

He hold the door to his car open for me to get in he gets and the driver seat and we pull off.

At the restaurant we are sitting at a table in the center with basket of breadsticks on the tabletop. "I love when restaurants give out free bread." I say with my mouth stuffed of breadsticks.

"I see." Aaron replies with a little laugh.

The waitress comes to our table and ask for our orders, I order the pasta and he orders a burger and fries. Sitting in this restaurant i immediately understood what made it so popular the music was amazing, the atmosphere was great and it was and overall perfect place for a date. When our food comes i dig into the pasta it taste amazing almost as good as Nessa's cooking but not quite. We finish up our food and leave, Aaron leaves a great tip i'm not surprised he just got promoted at our job.

Were in the parking lot walking back to Aaron's car, it's very dark out the parking lot is so quiet i could hear the sound of my heels clanking. 

"So did you enjoy it?" Aaron asks.

"You mean, the restaurant?", I ask, "Absolutely their food was amazing i might try and get Nessa a job there she could learn a thing or two from those chefs." 

"Great! I'm very glad you enjoyed it." He replies.

"Yeah a really did, and do you know what the best part was?" I ask vaguely.

"No, what?" He replies.

"Spending it with you." I say in a very smooth manner.

"Wow, didn't even see that coming", Aaron says, " You're so sweet and I feel the same way if i'm being honest."

I silently grin trying not to let it show, we get to his car and get in it. He turns on a radio station that is playing symphony music, we have different taste in music but it's fine since we have literally everything else in common. He drops me off at home i kiss him goodbye. When i walk into the house i see Gray orbing in with Nessa and Franny.

"Where did you guys just come from?" I ask.

I see a sudden look of worry come across all of their faces in sync, which i found really weird. 

"Oh us..." Franny begins.

"We...We just came from watching a play." Nessa adds.

"Yes! A play!!!" Gray and Franny agree in sync like they were just going along with whatever Nessa said.

"Okay..." I say slowly, knowing well that somethings up. "What play?" I ask.

"Um..." Gray stutters, "Hamilton..." He says slowly and unsurely. 

"Yea, Hamilton." Says Franny.

"Yep! We went to see Hamilton." Nessa adds.

I examine them studying how frantically they were acting until i finally put two and two together. "You guys stalked Aaron and I on our date didn't you?!?!?" I shout.

"No." Franny and Gray say in sync.

"Nessa" I ask, knowing how hard it is for her to lie to me.

"Maybe..." She let's outs.

Franny and Gray grunt in anger.

"Nessa!" Franny shouts.

"Sorry, you guys know how i feel about lying to my siblings!" Nessa replies.

I stare at them in utter disappointment, i honestly couldn't believe they'd do something like this after i've asked them numerous of time not to treat me like this. 

"I can't believe you guys." I let out.

"Veronica we had to, Franny had that vision weeks ago and it could be coming true and minute, okay? now it is my job to protect you and i'm gonna do it by any means necessary." Gray states.

"Okay, Gray did you ever think that maybe i don't need your protection, or that maybe as someone with the power of telekinesis i can protect myself!" I shout.

"But that's just it roni! In my vision you tried to use your powers but you couldn't that could happen any minute now as well." Franny adds.

"Okay you know what i can't even look at you guys right now, I- I just can't deal." I say i walk up stairs with my face as hot as a burning kettle. I know on some level Franny was right I mean she did have a vision of me being powerless and dying but we've been able to change her vision before. I guess what made me so mad is why wouldn't we be able to change it now i mean we are the most powerful witches after all. I just wished i knew how to handle all of this.
