Their fates were entwined. They were the reincarnations of their greatest ancestors.

She was the embodiment of beauty. Her bright emerald eyes and her raven black hair cascading down her back were truly enchanting. Despite being a princess, she was anything but regal. Her whimsical behaviour and childish antics annoyed him. Nevertheless, he was drawn to her. However, they both could not be together. They were born as enemies.

They both were like parallel lines. They continued stretching past each other for eternity but were cursed to never meet. They were both the opposite sides of the coin.

She was the closest to him yet so far away. She was within his hands reach yet she was unreachable. They both were friends but also total strangers. He knew many of her darkest secrets but at the same time knew nothing. He boasted about knowing her the most. However, she still was the biggest mystery of the universe to him, completely unfathomable. This complexity was driving him insane.

He was baffled by the intricacy of their relationship. When he tried to approach her, she recoiled in her shell. Nevertheless, when he behaved like a stranger, he was accused of being heartless. He wished for her to draw the boundaries of their relationship. Although he wished for that, he never hoped for her to draw them. Never had someone driven him so insane.

He was hanging by a loose thread. With a single tug, the thread could break loose. It felt like a Sword of Damocles was dangling on his head. Exactly like a death sentence, which was inevitable. His future was bleak and uncertain. Either he would negate the past and embrace her while turning the whole world into his enemy. Or he could continue to act on the predestined script handed to them by fate. Either way, his doom was predetermined.
